Faivoir the only one left standing from my original fancies. I’m really keen on him for The County. He’ll be main bet, he’s 14’s just now.

I’m not having an Antepost yet, but I’ll watch the market and see if he’s getting bet.

The other two I’m going to bet if they turn up, are….

    Dans Le Vent
    Night Edition

    Both 50’s EW five places.

I still don’t have a bean on, but I’ll play any of these early, if there’s much support.

    Faivoir 14’s
    Dans Le Vent 50’s
    Night Edition 50’s

Anyone seen anything about Mack The Man and if he’s likely for here?

    I’m on two antepost.

First is Cadzand 11-1 ew 5 places. Been aimed for the race since his last win and could be anything.

Second is Faivoir 33-1 ew. Backed him straight after his last win but when jockey said post race they weren’t sure if the horse was going to run in this I thought that was it. But can see he’s been declared so we will see.

Had high hopes for Highway One O Two to have a good campaign. So much so i backed him for the Arkle and that never went according to plan.

Trainer unsurprisingly said they were going to go back over hurdles and backed him on his last run. Went from 4/1 to 16/1 and was beaten a furlong. Anyway had a few bets here and there on the exchanges the last couple of weeks in the feint hope that this has been the plan and somehow he gets back to being the horse he looked last year.

On a more realistic note, backed an old favourite from the flat in Buzz just now on the exchanges as well.

Would love to see a good perfomance of For Pleasure. Backed him for the Supreme as well as here.
    For Pleasure 25/1

Also. Could the entire meeting be rescheduled for next tuesday or wednesday? I can’t see it last with the frost going on until the weekend.

I’ve whittled my shortlist down to one. Mister Coffey 12/1. Slightly concerned that his usual hold-up tactics might not be ideal for this but i think he will enjoy the quicker pace and has the raw ability.

Meeting abandoned, to no one’s surprise. Rearranged to Sunday 21st February.

I’ll probably have more on at the weekend if I see better, but with no major fancy, I’ll stick with this pair. I’ll play it by ear for the EW during the week.

    Dans Le Vent
    Night Edition
    Both 50’s

Fred is a great price at 33/1. Good novice hurdler who beat Wild Max 30 lengths. Wild Max has won a couple of handicaps since and has been widely tipped for this race.
The form could have some substance…
One novice chase and back over hurdles could be a good move…
Like him, especially at the current prices…if he runs, given Henderson’s ‘ever changing moods!’

“They have done a fantastic job under difficult circumstances and we are keen to support the meeting as best as we can, so with that in mind, the intention is still for Buzz, Mister Coffey and now possibly Fred as well to take their chance in the Betfair Hurdle.

The two that interest me for this are Mack The Man and On to Victory.

MTM was in the process of running very well in last year’s version and is only on a 2pd higher mark. At 20/1 i think he’s a fair price.

On To Victory is interesting even though he only won a poor maiden hurdle last time. He fell when looking to run very well at Kempton, people were still considering Third Time Lucki a Supreme contender, so i think 129 in lenient here.
He went off 11/4 vs Mr Coffey (10/1 here) off levels and now receives 9pd. Given the type he was on the flat i am hoping a big handicap will play to his strengths.

The top six in my figures for this race are:

    MISTER COFFEY 164
    LIGHTLY SQUEEZE 162
    NIGHT EDITION 162
    Buzz 157
    Thyme White 156
    Galice Macalo 156

Quite happy to stick with the figures and go top 3 against the field.

LIGHTLY SQUEEZE 22/1 (25/1 in a place) may well have won this last year but for comnig down at the last. Possibly didn’t see out a longer trip at the stiff Ascot track last time, but was bang there in his previous race at Ascot.
MISTER COFFEY 10/1 lightly raced and form looks solid. Every chance of being in the mix judged on his third to Benson at Sandown.
NIGHT EDITION 50/1 (66/1 in places) is the one from left field and has to put a disappointing seasonal return behind him. However he ran a blinder in a big field at Cheltenham last March and that form would put him in with a strong chance if back to his best.

As already mentioned, I’m on Mister Coffey but I definitely think Night Edition is a cracking e/w bet at 50/1. I’ve added him.

My 2 remaining picks are both on the same mark of 138, potential to be better than that, and both have been aimed at this.

    Cadzand 11-1 ew 5 places.
Mister Coffey 11-1 ew 7 places.

    Good luck all. :good:

This is a race where I could tie myself in knots. Cadzand for me too, but I’ll also go with Edwardstone at 12-1. I would actually just favour the latter.

Just took some crazy prices on Highway One O Two on the machine and some EW @ 50/1 6 places. He went out to a similar price last the night before so thought i would hold on. No idea how he is that price and Buzz is 12/1 based on his last run last season.

Won’t bother with Buzz so and half expecting him to bolt up.

Backed For Pleasure already two weeks ago at 25/1 EW. He is still that price, hoping for a nice run. I added Buzz at 14/1 EW. I think that is a big price. With Kevin Brogan on board he is on a lighter weight than last time.

For Pleasure 25/1 EW (7 places)
    Buzz 14/1 EW (7 places
