Many thanks to ZARKAVA who has kindly volunteered to keep the bet365Royal Ascot competition scores. Updated results will appear here each evening.
Good luck all.

June 17, 2009 at 17:10 #234641Zarkava you’ve missed my ‘paco boy’ winner from yesterday.
June 18, 2009 at 19:49 #235010Guys, just so you know, I haven’t forgotten about doing the standings but I’m popping out after the Hampton Court. Will certainly update the standings before tomorrow’s racing and more than likely before the end of today.
June 19, 2009 at 20:13 #235264Zarkava –
I thought we were scoring to level stakes profit/loss to 1 point stake per race? Surely we can’t ALL be ahead?
June 19, 2009 at 21:02 #235276Of course not, I’ll take off the stakes afterwards. Just quicker doing it this way.
June 20, 2009 at 01:00 #235335I hesitate to say that I think the scores may need checking, particularly when I couldn’t provide the time to score or organise something like this for the whole forum but I had a look at the top 4 scores as I was surprised I was still leading.
Scoring on the basis of -1.00 for a loser and +SP for winners, I made the scores for the top 4 this:
Sberry = +33.75
Steerforth = +28.33
JinnyJ = +26.75
Young Mick = +23.10Other points I noted were that I had a horse withdrawn on day 2 (Roaring Forte) and have posted no reserves so I would have thought my score for that race would be 0.00 and as there was a 20p R4 I’m wondering if that should be applied to anyone who picked the winner of that race?
Also, Mastercraftsman was scored at 4/5 ‘for ease’ as opposed to the 5/6 it returned at – 5/6 is 0.83 as opposed to 0.80 for 4/5 and it could come down to fractions I guess, have any other scores been adjusted for ease?
Not sure how the top 4 scores are that different, maybe a point has been deducted for the winners too?
Sorry if I’m opening a can of worms but as there’s a prize at stake, the scores need to be right, even if I am wrong or don’t have the time to check all the scores.

June 20, 2009 at 03:11 #235365Zark – I seem to have disappeared totally now!
June 20, 2009 at 04:38 #235377Yeah, because you were on -5 something without entries for Wednes, Thurs and Fri.

June 20, 2009 at 12:45 #235424Friday’s updated table.
Sberry 32.75
Steerforth 28.33
Jinnyj 25.75
Young Mick 22.83The following have been calculated roughly so far but if any of you get into contention for the win after Saturday’s racing, I’ll check your score precisely.
Nathan Hughes -14.18
Roughly I’m about 30 points down on what i should have
and correct me if I’m wrong.Paco Boy +3.33
Mastercraftsman +0.83
Canford Cliffs +1.75
Moneycantbuymelove +4.5
Yeats +1.5
Habaayib +16
Ghanaati +2I selected 4 races tuesday and six each other day so a total of 15 lost, 14 lost if Docofthebay W/D dont know the rules so should have either +15.91 or +14.91.
edit- I dont mean to make an issue only that i finish with negative points in most comps on the forum and for my standards have had a good week.
Member since March 2008June 20, 2009 at 18:34 #23553615.91 it is. Like I said in the PM I sent you, I subtracted twice inadvertently.
June 20, 2009 at 19:06 #235549Thanks Zarkava, I somehow managed to delete the pm you sent me without reading it properly, sorry about that.
