Guys, just so you know, I haven’t forgotten about doing the standings but I’m popping out after the Hampton Court. Will certainly update the standings before tomorrow’s racing and more than likely before the end of today.

I thought we were scoring to level stakes profit/loss to 1 point stake per race? Surely we can’t ALL be ahead?

Of course not, I’ll take off the stakes afterwards. Just quicker doing it this way.

I hesitate to say that I think the scores may need checking, particularly when I couldn’t provide the time to score or organise something like this for the whole forum but I had a look at the top 4 scores as I was surprised I was still leading.

Scoring on the basis of -1.00 for a loser and +SP for winners, I made the scores for the top 4 this:

Sberry = +33.75
Steerforth = +28.33
JinnyJ = +26.75
Young Mick = +23.10

Other points I noted were that I had a horse withdrawn on day 2 (Roaring Forte) and have posted no reserves so I would have thought my score for that race would be 0.00 and as there was a 20p R4 I’m wondering if that should be applied to anyone who picked the winner of that race?

Also, Mastercraftsman was scored at 4/5 ‘for ease’ as opposed to the 5/6 it returned at – 5/6 is 0.83 as opposed to 0.80 for 4/5 and it could come down to fractions I guess, have any other scores been adjusted for ease?

Not sure how the top 4 scores are that different, maybe a point has been deducted for the winners too?

Sorry if I’m opening a can of worms but as there’s a prize at stake, the scores need to be right, even if I am wrong or don’t have the time to check all the scores.

Nailed in the last! Arggggggggghhh! Never mind – well done Young Mick and to Carraciola – ( I was agonisingly close in the first race).

Thanks for running this – its been lots of fun (and plenty of sweating too!) and its probably the best finishing position I’ve had for a while.
