I will have an Antepost bet in this, but as well waiting till the Mullins horses sort themselves out, and I’ll also (try to) wait for Ayr and Fairyhouse
Not looking at any Irish challengers yet, but I’ll watch the market.
Of the home team, I thought Dreaming Blue was a nice price at 50’s, and same applies to Slipway, and especially Le Milos
Le Milos ran well in this last year, and comes here several pounds lower. 50’s look too big
O’Connell and Val Dancer have had great seasons, and also of interest, but to go with Le Milos on the early shortlist are Moroder, who was second in this off five pounds lower in 23, and is in good form, along with Transmission at 16’s. He’s better than his Cheltenham run, and those odds look fair
The Irish challengers will be a big complication
No bet yet then, but of the home team, this is the shortlist………
Le Milos
Moroder
TransmissionApril 8, 2025 at 19:15 #1726727Tanganyika interests me, and of course the Mullins massive, but no bet yet.
April 13, 2025 at 12:37 #1727191Thought Spanish Harlem was travelling well yesterday before being taken out, so even though he could go to Fairyhouse, he’s first bet here
Spanish Harlem 28’s EW
April 17, 2025 at 18:35 #1727527When Goshen comes up the hill to win this…there will be scenes!
April 17, 2025 at 20:09 #1727536Added Transmission now, as price starting to go
Transmission 16’s
Also topped up Spanish Harlem at 5 day Decs to 50’s
April 17, 2025 at 23:22 #1727541I’ll try Lombron at 25s as I quite like his chase form, though I suppose he might go for one of the handicaps at Punchestown instead.
April 18, 2025 at 15:28 #1727567QF, I agree about Goshen, but I’ve actually went and bet him. 66-1 ew, as I think that he can run better than his current odds. My other selection is The Doyen Chief at 20-1
April 19, 2025 at 14:38 #1727673High Class Hero 6-1 ew 4 places
April 22, 2025 at 17:58 #1728003Bump
April 22, 2025 at 19:53 #1728019Minella Cocooner 20/1 win only
Shorter trip (compared to GN) should suit.
Just hope MC runs.
April 24, 2025 at 11:59 #1728140My ew 2…
High Class Hero 6-1 4 places
Minella Cocooner 10-1 5 placesApril 24, 2025 at 15:34 #1728157How in the hell does Jonjo Jnr end up on Dancing City.
That’s my antepost hopes gone for this race.
Was on Dancing City and Captain Cody
April 24, 2025 at 15:37 #1728158High Class Hero has got to be a plot horse. Hasn’t looked up to much this season yet was still somehow clear fav for this.
Turned over at 2/13 odds last time. The handbrake was well and truly applied.April 24, 2025 at 21:46 #1728193Minella Cocooner will be third go in this for me, but I haven’t bet yet. Was my long ranger for Aintree, and thought he ran really well.
Minella Cocooner
Spanish Harlem 50’s EW
Transmission 16’sApril 25, 2025 at 13:42 #1728237Heavily weighted towards Mullins runners with only 4 of the 11 ‘in the weights’ from other stables. However, Victtorino 16/1 e/w 1/5 5 places looks to go under the radar a bit despite having ground and course to suit. Distance is an unknowwn but he was picking up ground at the finish over 3m 2f at Newbury so not unreasonable that he can see out this trip well enough.
April 25, 2025 at 19:37 #1728274Very sweet on Resplendent Grey for this.
That Ultima run was excellent given where he’s come from and he’s got improvement for cheekpieces for me.
Olly Murphy has been absolutely red hot all season and this is going to be my last serious bet for a while during the bore fest of the flat.
