Up until very recently, BET365’s History section enabled its members to see at a glance the total amount of money staked & returned for 24 & 48 hours and for a chosen period, e.g, a month or 3 months. I found this very useful and responsible to my gambling. Then, for reasons which they declined to tell me, they removed the totals for these periods and just left the history section with a scrolling screen of bets placed & settled etc.
I wrote a few emails to their support section asking why they had changed the History section in such a way and was called at home by a supervisor who told me that if I wanted the History totals I would need to write in and request them. I did this but they were not forthcoming even after repeated requests via chat. Eventually, I wrote and told them that, imo, they were not upholding their responsible gaming pledge. They asked me if I was addicted! I told them NO, and, after withdrawing my bankroll, closed my account.
Are there any other members of this forum with BET365 and has the removal of the history totals changed their opinion of how, probably the largest online bookmaker, chooses to ignore its responible gaming pledge?Sorry for such a long thread & thanks for reading.
July 22, 2015 at 14:58 #1140849Not as irresponsible as William Hill, they refused my request for a deposit limit at a rate I could choose the options were not suitable to me and they refused to accept what I asked.
I then asked to close my account, I had to speak to a senior member of staff who was quite rude at having to go through a form to close my account.
I now look at responsible gaming before I join any casino or bookmaker and if they try to hide it or refuse to let me choose my own limits I don’t join them.
August 4, 2015 at 19:20 #1160117I closed my Bet365 account about 5 years ago as I was very unhappy with their “support staff”. Unfortunately I have had the same problems with others and closed them too, the worst being Victor Chandler (now Bet Victor) who cancelled my bet and refused to return me the stake !! Nowadays I tend to stick with BetFair (both Exchange and Sportsbook) who have been consistent if nothing else.
August 4, 2015 at 23:19 #1160462bet365 closed my account, but they continue to send me free bet offers, marketing e-mails and push messages.
I can totally understand them shutting me down (business decision, their choice whether they are willing to take my custom etc) and don’t have a problem with that at all. Don’t rub it in my face by showing me what everyone else is enjoying though!
Anyone else experienced this?

Shocking stuff! You could end up irreparably damaged being subjected to such material on a regular basis. I should contact the Gambling Commission, alternatively you can put them in spam.
August 5, 2015 at 08:38 #1161368Same thing is happening to me, but not with a bookie, with an airline !! The bar-stewards at Singapore Airlines took away my miles and closed the account as “dormant” after 3 years.
