Two horses I always give a nod to, Beauport and Dom of Mary both in the field, and preference just for the latter.

Well beaten in the end in The Kim Muir, and to be honest, never looked comfortable, but after wind surgery, and reuniting with Caoilin Quinn here, I’ll give him the nod. I’d like bigger than current 13-2 though

I thought Fortescue would be shorter off last run, and if not for Dom of Mary, he’d be the pick. Confident that he wins this season

I bet Slipway last week, and will definitely go with him again this season, but reluctantly passed over here

    No Bet

I’ll keep loyal to Beauport. Winner of the Midlans National and now with Toby McCain-Mitchell claiming seven he is running of a interesting weight. He had a decent run here last year over 3 miles and the national distiance should suit him more.

    Beauport 15/2

My old friend Kitty’s Light is handicapped to win this and this as good a chance as any to get his mark up for Aintree. I figured he was being strategically placed for an opportunity like this, but I must confess I was looking at Warwick in January or Newcastle in February.
