Very sad to notify that tough mare Belle De Lawers was fatally injured at Newcastle. She’d been off the course a while before coming back last year. Raced a lot at the Newcastle AW course – not a great course either. RIP lass
RIP Belle De Lawers
Did not see the race and varying reports RP saying she broke down and Sporting Life that she clipped heels and was brought down. Such a sad thing to happen to her.
Danny Tudhope broke his collar bone in the fall, it could have been a lot worse, all good wishes for a speedy recovery.
Condolences to the Bethell team and all connections for their sad loss.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...
