Probably going to be Bally, Ile, Predators and a few rank outsiders.
Value Is EverythingMarch 11, 2024 at 13:49 #1684535Eight entries with five from Mullins, how thoroughly depressing.

March 11, 2024 at 14:19 #1684541I’ve taken the 25-1 about Ballyburn having the biggest winning margin of the week. Makes this race a bit more interesting.
March 11, 2024 at 17:09 #16845761/2 is very very short for a novice hurdler imo. I’m not saying he won’t win but I don’t expect him to be as impressive as 1/2 would imply and although I didn’t envisage having a bet in the race beforehand him being 1/2 and there being 8 runners probably changes that. I’d take either of Ile Atlantique or Predators Gold to hit the frame I think they’re a long way clear of the opposition on form and not as far behind Ballyburn as 1/2 would suggest.
March 11, 2024 at 17:11 #1684578Shall we organise a no bet protest against the Mullins domination?
No bet.

March 12, 2024 at 11:08 #1684782Mercurey is just a token selection in this really for me at 25-1 each way
March 13, 2024 at 06:58 #1685171Ballyburn will be very hard to beat , Slade steel yesterday only helps make him look unbeatable however I’m really looking forward to seeing handstands go against him , yard going really well and this lad will love the hill , he looks a cracking e.we bet
March 13, 2024 at 07:02 #1685173Hills are 7-4 about Ballyburn winning by 8 lengths or more. Taken that.
March 13, 2024 at 07:51 #1685190With trainers seemingly becoming more cowardly. I think we’re nearing the time to shorten the festival again. Either 3 days or 4 days of six races.
The National Hunt Chase has become a joke. There’s always at least 1 class act in it now which scares everything else away.
There’s too many options for novices overall.
The Albert Bartlett needs to go also. No need for a 2m5f and 3m novice hurdle.
The Baring Bingham is a joke this year due to this.March 13, 2024 at 08:37 #1685203Agree about the NH Chase but unfortunately there is no way the festival is going back to 3 days.
I got a small amount of 9/4 for Ballburn a few weeks ago. I have also taken Evens on him winning by over 5 lengths. I believe he could win by 20 lengths if Townend lets off the handbrake.

No bet…”
——————————Well actually, I’ve played in the end.
Backed Predators Gold with saver on Ile Atlantique in both betting with and without Ballyburn.
Value Is EverythingMarch 13, 2024 at 13:25 #1685336Ballyburn 8-1 ew AP. Good luck all.
March 13, 2024 at 13:26 #1685337Aside from Fact To File I put them in multiples but unless something else wins with them I will be down.

March 13, 2024 at 13:42 #1685343I thought Ballyburn would be shorter
