Appreciate It 14-1
October 8, 2020 at 18:24 #1505344Agreed think he looked a serious prospect going forward
I think ferny hollow may be a bit of a handful over obstacles, seemed a bit of a nutter
I believe Jamie codd said Ballyadam is the best horse hes ever ridden
And hes ridden envoi allen so he could be something special
October 8, 2020 at 21:56 #1505377I’d say elliot won’t be pleased Codds spouted something like that after winning a Downpatrick bumper lol

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!October 11, 2020 at 20:36 #1505770Could just be a load of Coddswallop.
October 13, 2020 at 18:53 #1505942Agree with Mike on same horse
October 14, 2020 at 12:07 #1506026Any thoughts on Bear Ghylls? Won a Warwick bumper by 19 lengths (Chantry House won it last year). The second has come out and won and the 10th(beaten a distance)was beaten a short head. Your Darling was pulled up and had excuses, but even so he won it in a good time and ran very green up the home straight. Backed it at 66s for this and the Supreme.
October 23, 2020 at 22:18 #1507093More than happy with Bear Ghylls’ reappearance; pulled a bit, a couple of novicey errors and still won hard held in what may turn out to be a fairly decent maiden. A stronger pace should see him to even better effect. Bet365 are 40s which is more than fair. I think he’s underrated because of the trainer not being high profile but she does very well with the ammo she’s got.
October 30, 2020 at 20:25 #1507856I added a couple more. Ballyadam 16s, and Farouk D’alene 25s for this and the Albert Bartlett. Will keep an eye on how things progress.
October 31, 2020 at 13:31 #1508014Nice start from Ballyadam.
October 31, 2020 at 14:41 #1508037Added Ferny Hollow 12-1
November 3, 2020 at 18:38 #1508523Bear Ghyll’s form continues to be franked. Bobhopeornohope won the first at Exeter today – beat a useful sort who ran in last season’s champion bumper and that was beaten nearly 50 lengths by the Bear in a Warwick bumper. Runswick Bay, 2nd to Bravemansgame today, was beaten over 80 lengths in the same bumper. Still can get 40s for this and would be a few points shorter if trained by a high profile trainer.
November 26, 2020 at 17:53 #1512213Not very original, but I was hugely impressed with Appreciate It at
Cork on Sunday. He only won by 2 1/2L, but it could have been whatever
Paul Townsend wanted it to be. That was over 2m and he’s 16/1 for the
Supreme Hurdle, but the way he finished I think he’s crying out for 2 1/2m
and the Ballymore hopefully should be the way he goes.Appreciate It 12/1 various
December 5, 2020 at 23:27 #1513267Was taken by the hurdling debut of Jessie Harrington’s Crosshill. He’s entered tomorrow at Punchestown and interesting to see him down in trip. Think there might be a fair bit under the bonnet there although see this as his long term target.
Interesting to see if he’s up to it.
December 6, 2020 at 12:43 #1513319Crosshill looked run slightly off his feet there and probably wants to go back up in trip. Having said that the winner probably isn’t one of Willie’s best so it might just be a watching brief next time out.
December 29, 2020 at 14:36 #1515787Cashed out Ferny Hollow. Added Bob Olinger 11-1 ew. In case they switch Appreciate It.
December 30, 2020 at 08:18 #1515841Agree Mike i think Bob Olinger is the likeliest winner here at this stage. Hopefully he turns up in the Lawlors and confirms that.
I was reasonably impressed with Gaillard Du Mesnil as well at Leopardstown. Interesting Mullins wants to keep him and Appreciate It apart at DRF. Will they be the Supreme and Ballymore no.1s? Possibly there will be a debutant or two come from the same yard yet. Townend said he was one of their earlier Winter novice runners and he’s improved drastically from his first run.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!January 13, 2021 at 14:08 #1517429Lawlors of Naas looks a good race and all the festival novice hurdles pretty open so far. I’ve put Blue Lord in ew at 16s for this and 33s for the Supreme NRNB. He’s not the prettiest horse but got the job done well last time.
