Thought he shaped well but don’t think it was any more impressive than Fionnegas or Quel Esprit.
His pedigree is very impressive – brother to Asian Maze so it would be no surprise to see him make up into a Cheltenham contender. Bigger tests lie ahead though.
I’m tempted by Rite Of Passage’s price at present after Donnas Palm franking the form again today at Fairyhouse. Might wait until we see him out over Christmas.
December 22, 2009 at 22:44 #265015Any news on when Quantitaveasing is racing next.
December 22, 2009 at 23:25 #265026Whats wrong with General Miller that he is 16/1, an impressive individual from a top stable who beat a potential star with the others miles behind at Cheltenham.
Is he being considered for the Supreme?December 23, 2009 at 12:07 #265071Henderson has to juggle Bellvano, Quantativeeasing, General Miller and Oscar Whiskey so I suspect the majority of us will be in the dark regarding running plans until much closer to the Festival.
December 28, 2009 at 18:18 #266099Quantitaveasing is at Newbury tomorrow can’t wait to see him hack up tomorrow
December 29, 2009 at 17:04 #266261Another impressvie performance i know he did not really beat any good horses but very good from him today.Henderson has to step him in up in trip i hope he does not got to the Supreme novices.
December 30, 2009 at 23:51 #266581yea was very impressed aswel.dont think he would beat quel esprit though,as that horse looks different gravy!however thankfully for him, that horse looks to be going the 3mile route.
January 13, 2010 at 21:12 #269723I think this race could cut up a bit, with some of the fancied runners going for different races so therefore I feel Shinrock Paddy is overpriced at 20/1
January 24, 2010 at 16:13 #271861Quel Esprit lost today was a bit suprised by that.
Anyone know when Quantitativeasing will be out again.Should be the fav for this race now.
January 24, 2010 at 16:25 #271867Quel Esprit today
I though he should have kicked for home two or three out, the whole field was going well and packed up behind him, if the jockey had taken a look round then he’d have realised he was a sitting duck and had to run the finish out of the others
January 24, 2010 at 20:03 #271904I hope Tell Massini goes for this although the betfair vibe suggests he’ll take in the Albert Bartlett. The novice hurdles in general are a muddle as not many horses have clear targets (eg Rite of Passage, Peddlers Cross, Quel Esprit).
January 24, 2010 at 20:07 #271908The "muddle" won’t be resolved until Dunguib’s taget is set in stone

Tell Massini will almost certainly go for the Albert Bartlett – he stays the trip and it should be the easier race. At the moment he is definitely the one to beat.
Not sure what to make of Rite Of Passage today. The second has now shown himself to be a weak finisher on two occasions and it is hard to evaluate what was behind.
January 24, 2010 at 21:20 #271926I like Shinrock Paddy for the Ballymore. He’s going to be a problem for whoever lines up. He done away with the last mob he faced at Navan over 20f, and a step up in trip should be alright as he looks powerful and classy enough to handle it. He will also go straight there, so he would definetely be one to watch.
January 24, 2010 at 23:51 #271944I agree Goldikova, Shinrock Paddy is still overpriced in my view and has a great chance, though General Miller if he turns up here would be my preferred choice.
January 25, 2010 at 00:14 #271947The three mile race is likely to be Shinrock Paddy’s target according to Nolan.
Satisfactory debut from Rite Of Passage today. Happy enough with that.
January 25, 2010 at 12:06 #271990Oooppss wrong thread. I always get the Albert Bartlett and Ballymore mixed up. I like Shin P for the Alb Bart. They changed the bloody name to the Neptune or something like that. For the Ballymore, i haven’t check a lot of them out yet to be honest, but i quite like Finians Rainbow. I wouldn’t expect the ground to be as bad as it was LTO for him, so the price isn’t too shabby if this race is his intention. That’s just a first thought though.
