Dont think it makes much of a difference what distance he runs him aslong as he gets it in, 2m – 3m, he did the same with faugheen, yorkhill etc then upped them or dropped them for this, id be fairly certain he will run him in the 2m race if the grounds soft/heavy only issue with that is, if he beats the intended supreme horse, what do you do then?

I backed DD for the supreme after his maiden but id say theres virtually no chance he goes there unless injuries now, out to 23s for it… was 16s prior to his maiden, sais it all..

Yorkhill is the one i keep looking back at and hoping they trod similar paths.

Thats the issue, if he rocks up at the DRF with Sir G, and turns him over, they’ll be running in a Supreme more than likely.

Once NRNB comes out i’ll probably cover him in the Supreme.

Id say theres a solid chance hed turn him over jack, looks a supreme horse all over to me, but the exchanges might suggest they dont clash, so could be fine

Classic getaway wont go far in the season now after that run, i feel it was a mistake running him in that ground today

I know there’s only a slim chance that either of them would run here, but I’ve went Jonbon 25-1, and Constitution Hill 9-1

As far as debuts go, that was pretty electric from walking on air there today. Would go as far as to say that was only 4/5 pounds worse debut run than the likes of the supreme novices principals which would give him a huge chance in this

Think your getting a bit carried away there jas, same as previous with i am maximus, nothing to substantiate the form with the likes of the supreme “4” not even in the same realm currently… not even remotely close to ginto either, i mean 10-12/1 hes shortened into for this is borderline criminal

Forgetting my views on ginto, you have stage star who is the same price with some firms who came out and blew away some decent rivals also in a grade 1, which the form has atleast some substance… and there the same price…

Was also getting 7lbs from the 2nd which equates to about 10-14 lengths… there wasnt 1 horse in there whod be good enough to compete in a grade 3

A “huge” chance in this, not for me lol id say not a chance in this lifetime, only chance he has of making top 6 is if theres 6 runners…

Once again ham you don’t actually read the post and junk to conclusions.

I was referring to debut runs…
Dysart did a very similar thing to similar opposition on debut so in terms of debut runs that was in similar realm. I’m not talking about dysarts run last time out.
Jonbon beat good risk at all 6 lenghts hard held
Constitution Hill beat might I 14 lenghts which you’d probably say was the best debut of all.
Walking on air beat a 120’s horse hard held by 13 lenghts.

In terms of debuts I’m not saying he was as good as any of those 3 but I’m saying he wasn’t far behind at all and that’s not a ridiculous statement at all. Maybe he won’t improve who knows, but to me he’s got plenty more in the locker and should find natural improvement. Also want to state I don’t think he’s as good as any of those front 3 in the supreme as I’ve already stated in previous post but the ballymore looks easier so if he is 4/5 pounds inferior that makes him a big chance in the ballymore.

I’d happily have a side bet with you that he finishes first 3/4 in the ballymore.

As far as ginto is concerned… well lol mate, that debut was definitely better than ginto’s debut. Clearly go to has improved substantially but as I’ve already stated in both posts I am simply comparing debut runs not subsequent runs.

Now if you turned round to me and said walking on air doesn’t have enough time between now and Cheltenham to show the required improvement necessary to reach the level these other horses have set then I would say that’s a fair point and may be the case but you didn’t say that at all.

Oh and stage star beat a horse 6 lenghts on debut who got thrashed 28 lenghts off 120. You’ll be telling me that was a better debut too no doubt.

Given im already in a good position here, have added in ramillies at 200s, runs tomorrow, way shorter for the AB (around 50s) but im not so sure thats where he’d be heading after 1 hurdles start and hes highly unlikely to come here with a winning chance, if atall, but doesnt look to be a particularly strong race tomorrow and im not so certain townend has chosen correctly (unless ramillies is way undercooked (possible))

They’ll have done well to have sorted that massive hole Ramillies has in him. Was stopping like he was shot in bumpers.

Decided to bet Falcon Eight here. His win at Thurles today was unspectacular, and if being honest, he looked more of a Bartlett horse, while handicaps could also be an option. I’ll definitely be watching the entries.

However, still early days for him over hurdles, and although no youngster, I just have the feeling that they might send him here. Highly unlikely I know, but I can’t rule it out, and NRNB makes a difference.

Very strong support for ginto today now after the unusal drift last week and a similarly large drift on him in the AB as expected, should hopefully confirm a decision has been made for this now and i dont need to have a slight worry now (very slight lol was always here in my mind)

To add to this, i cant understand why journey with me hasnt drifted out after the weekends run, hes no chance

Jas, ill take your sidebet aslong as 8+ run on the day, price…?

I hope Ginto goes AB he’d win that. Ballymore would be more challenging.

Elliott is “leaning towards the ballymore, this lad is not as slow as people think”

Ties in with what ive been saying all along, havent seen any evidence an extra 4f would suit, in the most gruelling novice hurdle about, that never “helps” classier types. Hes better to get beat in this (if you think that) than he is to win the AB as a long term plan

Why would the ballymore be more challenging considering how tough the AB is?

Ginto is better than the AB opposition imo and would relish the step up in trip. Ballymore will have one of the Mullins horses plus Journey With Me plus Walking On Air plus Three Stripe Life to name a few. Just looks more competitive to me. Not saying he can’t win but just put him in the easier race and job done.

    I thought blimey that’s short

Then you look at the likely runners and it’s probably not as mad as it first looks

Wouldnt back him under 5/2 myself due to stamina doubts despite the weak field
