I have to say even hours after the race I’m still amazed when looking back at Al Dancer’s performance. This must be one of the top three Badger Ale’s in history imo. His time was only 2.65 secs higher than the RP standard and yet 3 secs faster than Frodon’s win on good to firm. I know the jockey took off seven pounds, but how many rides of that calibre do you get from 7lbs. conditionals?

I hope Al Dancer stays sound throughout the season and I’ll bet he might even put the likes of Ahoy Senor into deep trouble if clashing in a Cotswold Chase.

Played Peter. Kicking myself here as one of there won’t be too many handicaps as straightforward as that before the off this season. Had him and Remastered miles ahead of the rest, and that SP of 25’s was unreal, well done mate
