    Sorry, gamble!

I have no desire to be a detective – or to spoil the fun for existing ones!

I was just, err, joining in the chat in a rare burst of online sociableness, against my better judgement, it seems.

My post was tongue in cheek Ian, and Emma our 52 year old new poster knows all the rules of the game. I have enjoyed her control in waiting to post – such timing I have never mastered.

    Phew!

I always take every listing literally – just in case!

I wish I could share your excitement at this forum development – watching Clash Of The Titans for the millionth time on BBC1 at 2.55pm (inbetween the racing) is all I’ve got lined up this afternoon!

I have taped a cartoon called Transylvania – just turned on the menace to check my hearing and it was just starting. My beer allowance has gone this week 4×275 mls bottles of krone. I enjoyed one last night over England and I drink it from a bulbous wine glass. I think to have discovered a new poster of old is real high for this house. Emma is vintage material and every word she writes spreads a dead sea scroll feeling of antiquity.

It’s got me thinking about how long I have been a member here.
Earliest post that I can find is in 2005 but I’m sure that I was here a couple of years before that.

I've stumbled on the side of twelve misty mountains
I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highways

Emma yours has been the most heartwarming splash entry we’ve seen in the dead zone for many flies’ lives, however you have aged us by two decades which is sobering indeed – so we were first stirred then shaken. Those post millennial years skipped by like Hamilton on hormones ; the naughties, the onesies, and then you with your clarion.

There is only one Ian Davies with his super hot dog mustard humour was bang on about my probing enquiry I added it wryly as I had received no reaction to my 42 guesstimate. Checking over page I realise I had omitted it and I can confirm I am only human.

You have 10 years to correct my moon probe but I wish them to slow for you. If you sit quietly in a natural setting and remove all techno disturbances you can visibly see the clock face reacting. Time does not change but your perception of it does.

Years ago people lived in villages with hayricks and horses and barn dances and their only clocks were the slow passing of the seasons coupled with familiar faces of the older ones in their check shirts and pretty lace blouses. A look up at the setting sun confirmed the day was done. Magic !

The alien looking spiders had a strange but perceptive spin on it five decades past but in the vast pool of time – but a blink !

We are indeed its script but us alone or, are there other oddities lurking in spacetime ?
