in my year long career as a national hunt follower, i have seen many tough horses, but this mare is absolutely stunning!! been a long time, since i last saw such a tough horse..so congrats to suzy and especially colin bolger, who works so hard for his money! well deserved, mates.
December 27, 2008 at 20:16 #199569Brilliant display of guts, and well ridden, I couldnt help laughing at the way she jumps though, she was jumping a fair few with all four legs facing forward, havent seen a horse do that before.
December 27, 2008 at 21:17 #199599I loved this horse. What a beautiful mare. Thought the owner was class. That is exactly what i’d be doing with the bag of carrots. Was lovely to see someone so into the horse as he was. Be interesting to see her again

a.)Would you have worn those wellies though (not sure I could but they were very colourful if nothing else)
b.)Would you have survived the interview with Thommo without fainting? (sorry).
Aimigayle is a very likeable mare and further proof that Suzy Smith isn’t a one hit wonder (Material World).
Deserves a bit more ammunition methinks.December 27, 2008 at 22:18 #199619

Do we need a thread for every pleasing run or ride, and does one gritty performance constitute the ‘toughest horse for a long time’?
December 27, 2008 at 22:20 #199620Was a very pleasing display. Always great to see one that looks like it’s battling.
Also good to see a positive thread!

Yes Suzy Smith is a promising trainer. Seen another of her horses win not so long back Royal Kicks. The performance today showed it was no lucky win. Hopefully will see more of her. Where does she train does anyone know? Does she have many horses?
December 28, 2008 at 04:55 #199735Tommo as ususal asking the bleeding obvious.
If i was a winning owner this what i would love to say to him
DT "So tell me how did u breed this horse?"
NW "Well Derek i got a Stallion and a Mare and they Shagged"
December 28, 2008 at 12:42 #199772I believe Suzy Smith trains on the old Lewes racecourse, I don’t know how many horses she has in.
