Hi Mike you’re certainly flying, good luck, TRF’s average score will look pretty good with the likes of Man Superstars

WD Jac your faith in your big grey hero rewarded with max haul of points!
November 25, 2017 at 21:40 #1328715Hi Mike
Warm welcome to our Forum.
Some great scores going on this week and straight into 3rd slot in the League nice to have you along.
Thanks greenasgrass I can’t stop smiing thinking of him winning by 57 lengths he was just fantastic.
At least there were points for Outlander coming 3rd and doubt it will be too long before you are back up in the top position green, now the only way for me is down but going to enjoy a moment of glory while I’m here..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 26, 2017 at 11:21 #1328800Hi folks.
A newbie to the forum here. I’ve been reading everyone’s views with interest on the racing in recent months and have added ‘Man Superstars’ to the competition to see how I would fare. As I am doing quite well at the moment I thought I would make my acquaintance.
😉Hi Mike, it’s great to see a new member in TRF. Great start in the League, best of luck
for the rest of the competition
November 26, 2017 at 13:35 #1328831Samcro did the business and you’re on Page 1 Graham

We are 37th in the League Of Leagues with an average of 138. To me that doesn’t seem a fair way to work it out as in a Comp of 47 players there will be those who are unable to post for some reason or drop out after a few weeks, are they taking into account those who have not updated or are finding it a bit tricky to transfer their horses. I know when we all first started this we made multiple errors in transferring horses and stable stars, even now you have to keep your wits about you.
Still enjoying the challenge though..LOL Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 26, 2017 at 14:31 #1328844Great news for us Jac
After a shaky first week for me, I’m glad I’ve recovered from page 3 to get onto
page 1 but I was so disappointed by Defi yesterday. I posted in the race thread
that I wondered what happened with Barry Geraghty before the 3rd fence, I thought
for a moment he had a problem with the reins, and then Defi absolutely clouted the
the fence. His back legs hit it really hard, knocking the hurdle flat and his
hind quarters just about hit the deck. I was worried he had really hurt himself
at that point, and although there doesn’t seem to be much made of that, he didn’t
travel anywhere near as well as he does, he always looked like he couldn’t quite
keep up. I don’t so much mind about the points, but I so want him to show how good
he is this year, I really like this horse.Anyway, enough about me, I don’t think you could have hit a more purple patch
Jac, you are absolutely flying
A triple in your own compy, top of
Bobby’s Ten To Follow and TOP of our League, not to mention 63rd in the
competition outright. Outstanding
I hear what you say about the marking of the Leagues, taking the average of the
League. It’s why I’ve been trying to get across to all that no matter where you
are in the competition, it’s important that you keep going. I’ve not commented
on individual Stables over the past 2 years if they kind of gave up the ghost
during the compy, because quite a few did, but this year is different and as
all contribute to the overall average, I would ask all members to realise that
their points count. I did notice that 7 Stables did not use any of their 3 week
2 transfers. If anyone is having any problems, or are unsure about transfers or
any other matter in the competition, please let me know. I know that in the
first couple of competitions, it took a while and I got plenty wrong. I think
I’ve got a decent grasp of it now, so fire away if you’re having any problems,
I assure you, we’ve all been there. It’s early doors, as they say, and I think we’re doing well and I’m sure we can
push upwards from here
November 26, 2017 at 15:26 #1328863Awww Graham I didn’t read the Thread but hear what you’re saying about Barry Geraghty, he used to be a jockey you could really rely on but now I hear a lot of my friends saying that he seems weighty behind the saddle and somehow lacks the concentration he used to have, maybe it’s time to give one of the younger jockeys a chance to ride some of these top horses.
It was such a shame as I had put Defi into my £5 4 x horse Accumulator yesterday instead of Clan Des Obeaux, it was actually a mistake as I always put my 3 horses in my compy in a trixie and I added BDM of course, so that was going really well I’d had 2 winners and then Defi went down followed by BDM storming home. Although it’s not about the money that would have come in handy for Christmas but hey I’m just glad all the horses are safe and well that’s worth all the money to me and I did have a single bet on BDM that you might have heard me shouting home.

Defi will be back Graham this is just a glitch and he will reward your faith in him once again.
I feel much the same about Bristol De Mai reading some of the carping on the Thread I can hardly believe what this lovely horse did yesterday and still there are non believers. Bring on the King George and the Gold Cup and let’s get our TC slip up and running. Best of luck to all next week..Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 26, 2017 at 16:22 #1328883That was a pity Defi let you down yesterday Jac, that would have been a nice lift before Christmas.
I should have mentioned above about the position we are in in the League. We are shown as J37 in
the League of Leagues list, but they still don’t have that right. Our actual position is J60, as
we have 59 Leagues higher than we are. The problem, as I mentioned at the start, is that whoever
they have to mark the League placings, doesn’t seem to understand that if you have several Leagues
joint in any place, for example 6 Leagues J10, the League that is next is NOT 11th, they are 16th.
By making and repeating this very obvious mistake, the 1st 11 placings, being all different scores,
are correct, as are the next 2 who are joint 12th, but every other League in the Competition from
that point onwards are all wrongly placed. I’m going to message them and see if they can get it
corrected.November 26, 2017 at 16:57 #1328891Yes agreed Graham
It’s the same with the individual leaderboard too I think.
Interested to hear what they say.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...November 26, 2017 at 20:38 #1328923I hadn’t actually checked the individual leaderboard Jac, but there’s definitely something
not right there too. Strangely enough, it’s not the same problem as the League Of Leagues
list, where they show that several are on the same position, but then carry on as if all in
the group count as 1 place. In the individual leaderboard, it shows nobody in a tie, despite
several being on the same score (points and number of winners). I went as far as the 1st 200,
and nobody apparently was tied, just consecutive place numbers. That’s just impossible
The good thing is they have plenty of time to get it sorted out, but it is a bit of a gaffe
November 26, 2017 at 23:32 #1328969We should change the league name to ‘AAAA-TRF’ that way we go top of whoever we are tied with on Alphabetical order…..

November 30, 2017 at 15:31 #1329522Hello all, and just a reminder that transfers for week 3 have to be in by 11pm tomorrow,
Friday 1st December. We have 2 BONUS RACES this week, the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle, where
it looks BUVEUR D’AIR’s to lose and the Ladbrokes Trophy Chase which is a bit tougher. I’m
quite a fan of AMERICAN, but with the likes of WHISPER, CONEYGREE and SINGLEFARMPAYMENT all
in the line up, it’s not going to be a walk in the park. Good luck whatever you go for, I
hope all can find the time to use their 3 Main Transfers, or 1 Elite Transfer if they need
some new blood in their stable. Remember that the League needs your points
I’ll update the League positions tomorrow, there are some decent horses running on Friday, so
there may well be a few in the individual Stables which could change the placings.December 1, 2017 at 12:13 #1329631Just about to go and shuffle my stable around Graham and hope to gain a few more points for the League by including the Fighting Fifth and Ladbrokes Trophy.
American is one that I have to bring back in after voting him out for the first few weeks so fingers crossed…also I think Elite horse Yorkhill is due to run Sunday Week (10th) so may be worth having him in.
Good luck everyone.
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 1, 2017 at 16:21 #1329709Good luck Jac, I think the Fighting Fifth should be a banker, but after watching
Thistlecrack and Harry today you just never know
We’re obviously going down the same road, I hope it stays soft enough for at Newbury
for American, he’s a terrific horse, but it’s really competitive. It’s tempting with Yorkhill, and the John Durkan is a bonus race, but with only 1
Elite Transfer, and so many big Bonus races this month, we can afford to wait til
next Friday to see if he’s still heading there and who’s going with him.Anyway, that’s the daytime racing finished today Jac, so I’m taking it that any late
points will have been added by now, I’ll post it up in a few minutes. I can’t think who,
but I think someone is doing quite well
December 1, 2017 at 16:28 #1329715Graham someone has knocked you off Page 1, but the good news is like Arnie ‘You’ll be back’ firing on all guns.
I might have been a bit short sighted putting Yorkhill in but hopefully he will run so just cross everything for now.
Can’t believe what happened to ‘Harry’ being beaten by Beer Goggles 40/1 and not so surprising but my 10 To follow selection Yanworth was beaten by Willoughby Court. I think unless Yanworth goes back to hurdles he might be taking a leap out of my selections even though I have Altior it might be dangerous to let him go.
Good luck tomorrow
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 1, 2017 at 16:43 #1329724Dunno if they’ll run Yorkhill right handed but I suppose they have to start him somewhere. Reckon Willie would secretly like to send him back over hurdles
I’ll probably have him im my Elites at some stage this season.Unimaginatively put my star on Buveur d’Air for tomorrow. Hope no shock result. Irving will be 100% primed as this is his Champion Hurdle.
Good luck this weekend, hope we all get a good haul of points
December 1, 2017 at 17:29 #1329732Well that’s the 2nd week done and dusted, and it’s all change at the top. It’s
Jac’s stable, THE KAUTO STARS, that has come roaring through from 9th to take the
top spot
Very well done Jac, that was some week you had in this compy….and
everywhere else for that matter.Close on Jac’s heels is Graham Black (Galaxy’s Chasers) who has been dislodged from the
top spot, but is still only a nose behind by a mere 10 points. Glad to see you’ve kept
your run going Graham, keep up the good work
It’s good to see a new TRF member come in and make his mark right away. M Nijjar (Man
Superstars) has an impressive week and bolts up to 3rd place. Very well done Mike
Plenty of time, and I’m sure there will be lots more movement in the coming weeks. We’re
doing well TRF, let’s all keep it going and we can start to see ourselves climbing up the
League Of leagues competition. Best of luck this week
