After an injury lay off of 16 months the unbeaten super mare sizzled in a Flemington jump out this morning. She ran the 800mt in 46.1 seconds with her last 400mt in a sizzling 21.68s.She lead throughout which is not her usual and had plenty up her sleeve. She is due to start first up 2 weeks from tomorrow. With recent retirements it is good to see a horse like her back, definately the best i have ever seen from here. Though until they start you never know how they have gotten over a tendon injury.
August 16, 2013 at 12:04 #448533OK I think I know where here is!
August 31, 2013 at 07:11 #449923The mare blitzed a super field first up from a 16 month injury lay off in today’s 1400 MT Group 1 Memsie Stks at Caulfield. If you get a chance have a look at the replay of the best horse in the world by a bit win.I have always stated that this mare is the best horse ever produced in this country. She could win a Group 1 over 6f or 12f on any given day,she is mind boggling.
September 1, 2013 at 04:38 #450035What a talent she is. Explosive. Gave them windburn. On the bridle on the home turn and just rode her hands-and-heels to the line. Totally awesome. Would the tight Moonee Valley track and the 2050m be a problem in the Cox Plate? If not might as well give her the winner’s cheque now!
September 1, 2013 at 08:36 #450039Slewman she came from near the tail over 1200 mt at the Valley to win at her 2nd start. This year looks like being the best ever Cox Plate and obviously you need a bit of luck there, but she is that good she could sit 3 deep for the trip and still beat them.Normally you would say horses are not entitled to do what she did yesterday after 16 months off, but then again you expect her to do that. I suppose when she beat Mosheen in the 1000 Guineas going half pace by 3 lengths, could have been 8 lengths and Mosheen comes out and wins the Oaks by 9 lengths 2 starts later we knew she was good! Funny someone on here said Mosheen wasn’t much after AJ beat her,Mosheen then won 4 of her next 5,got beaten a nose in the other and 3 Group 1’s
September 2, 2013 at 04:42 #450089Looks comfortably better than All Too Hard (who was retired way too early) at 7f-mile, but may very well improve over further…
September 2, 2013 at 05:14 #450090I think her most dominant win was over 2000 mt in the Group 2 Wakeful Stks.Granted the opposition couldn’t be rated as top class but she won by 7 lengths and i kid you not could have won by 15 lengths. That is no exaggeration she was cantering had to be seen to be believed!!!
September 13, 2013 at 09:52 #451076The mare is going around tomorrow in the Group 2 1600 mt Stock Stks at Moonee Valley, quoted at odds from 1-12 to 1-20. Though second up after a 70 week break she should win in 1st gear. She is starting to get the attention like Black Caviar, another 2 or 3 on the trot and the ball will start rolling again.
September 14, 2013 at 04:20 #451174Pretty much an exercise gallop as Atlantic Jewel makes it 9 out of 9 winning by around 3 lengths paying the odds of 1-25
September 17, 2013 at 09:43 #451557In a surprise move Atlantic Jewel will be backing up this Saturday in the Group 1 Underwood Stks over 1800 mt at Caulfield. Seems as though this is thought to be the most suitable route through to the Cox Plate. As it was like a working gallop last Saturday Mark Kavanagh has no worries with backing her up as she has eaten up well since. With Puissance De Lune, It’s A Dundeel, Sea Moon and a couple of others it will be a good test for her. She is Quoted at 1-2 in early markets.
September 21, 2013 at 07:13 #451957The super mare was beaten a half head by The Kiwi champion It’s A Dundeel. She lead which she hasn’t done previously and backing up after last week it was a great run. I can remember on here that the ‘mouth’ in Seabird 11 belittled It’s A Dundeel, well when you consider Sea Moon was around 7 lengths behind them this horse is certainly world class. Atlantic Jewel certainly lost no admirers she was gallant in her narrow defeat and I think the decision to back her up 7 days later after such a long lay off was the wrong thing to do. All things being equal the mare will win the Cox Plate with the fitness she will derive out of her next couple of runs.
September 21, 2013 at 11:33 #452030In what world is stating a fact now belittling? Reliable Man routed It’s A Dundeel, end of. You called It’s A Dundeel Arc class, and 5 lengths better than So You Think. It’s not my fault you ended up with egg on your face. Now, Reliable Man is a talented horse, but he was 15th in the Arc and most certainly would not have beaten SYT by 5 lengths. And, now, you went on to claim Altantic Jewel was the best horse in the world by a bit. You never learn, do you? And, don’t even try to convince us that was Sea Moon’s true form. You’re a bit of a premature ejaculator, are ya son? That’s how I picture you in my mind.

Bring it on you loud mouth soft c#ck,all mouth and no trousers you soft poonce!!!
September 21, 2013 at 11:47 #452033Nothing like a loud mouth newbie:) Jealous little poonce
If you knew anything about racing you would know that Atlantic Jewel has had 2 runs in 17 months and there is obviously a lot of improvement. I have no doubt Atlantic Jewel is the best horse in the world and It’s A Dundeel would measure up to anything you have there.2 points about your Reliable Man rant,Chris Waller is renowned for improving and putting the sprint back into them, they come here dour and he puts the sprint back into them.Secondly as shown in his preps It’s A Dundeel races best fresh he only has about 3 or 4 runs then hits a flat spot.Dont give me your ‘our’ horses are so much better,if so you should have won the Melbourne Cup after 30 years of trying
Best edit that bit
Oh and not Sea Moon’s true form, you go on about how Reliable Man isn’t up to the best there and on his one run here, then you say how that isn’t Sea Moon’s true form, cherry picking at it’s best by someone without a clue:)September 21, 2013 at 14:31 #452063In what world is stating a fact now belittling? Bring it on you loud mouth soft c#ck,all mouth and no trousers you soft poonce!!!

How insightful! Getting on your nerves, am I?
Jealous of what exactly? The fact that not a single one of the top ten of the last edition of the Melbourne Cup was actually aussie-bred, and the fact that the year before that there was one aussie-bred in the top 10 (a mere 8th). Or the fact that Aussie-breds represent only 4 of the current top 30 in weights for this year’s edition. And, that if you’re not careful you will end up with no aussie-bred horses in the most famous in Australia (considering Europe don’t even send their very best horses over). Damn right I’m jealous!

You do sound seriously bothered though.
The day I’ll be jealous is the day there won’t a French-bred horse in the top ten of The Arc or a British-bred horse in the top ten finishers of the King George. By the way, I’m not sure what "you have never won the cup" is referring to. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned to that goldfish brain before that I’m not British myself. The horse that represents my nickname you might eventually figure out is actually French. It might also be of note to you that that mare who won the Cup three times on the trot is actually British-bred. - AuthorPosts
