    ROLICA 10/1 Power

I be going to Sandown on Saturday so be great to see her win in person. But back on fast ground suit. And trainer won it before with a 3yo in Saffron beach to.

not sure how I am going to play this at the moment, whether to the lay Tamfana or try and find one against her.
No doubting on figures/form she is the best filly in the race but although in better company she finds a way to get beat. Another slight ? for me after the very good third in Diane she was then stepped up again to 12 instead of back to this trip. She looked unlucky in our 1000 but how many times have we said that and kept following in the ‘unlucky’ one? So will get my head down and try and find one or it will be a lay at around evens or lower

Good luck, looking forward to this race :good:

Difficult to judge TAMFANA, I personally wouldn’t be touching her lay or play but no surprises either way. I felt CHOISYA was worth a punt at 17/2. She was disappointing two starts ago but ground was maybe a bit too soft although she has shown to be versatile to conditions. They gave her some time off and she re-appeared to win the Dick Hern at Haydock in good style so with the stable in flying form that price was hard to resist.

I agree Chivers – as it stands – Choisya is over-priced.
Am also quite interested in the rank outsider Naomi Lapaglia. She’s been progressing without winning and another step up might see a similar level of form to all bar the fav here.
Expecting to oppose Tamfana. Agree nwalton – coming back to 8 from 12 isn’t ideal… May well need a truly run mile to be fully effective. However, tbh I was also expecting odds-on – so I don’t rule out a saver with the trainer in good form too.

That said: All the above are usually hold up horses (although Tamfana might race nearer the pace than (with Spencer) at Newmarket / coming back in trip today. I will be keeping an eye on non-runners. Spiritual is the obvious pace to the race but her best form (so far) is on much softer. If she were to come out then a slow pace is even more likely.

i went for a small lay in the end at 2.16, kept trying to find only one or two to play against her but just thought to many could come and do me, so took the ‘easier’ option. As Ginger rightly points out even the rag could take home the spoils.
Good luck if you play :good:

Had these matched overnight / this morning:
Choisya @ an average of 10/1.
    Naomi Lapaglia @ average 28/1.
Spiritual average 15/1. Just in case she acts on the ground and gets a soft lead.
    Saved on Tamfana @ 2.44.

Only Naomi is currently shorter but she’s less than half the price now.

Yes, Tamfana did it well from mid-div despite what looked a slowish pace. I presume Sun Chariot next.

Nothing really came from the back, so a line can be put through Choisya and Naomi’s runs.

Spiritual (as predicted got the lead) thought she had a chance of holding on at one point. Seemingly is fully effective on good-firm.

On “form” Doha ran well enough, but I’d be surprised if she ran at a mile again – By Sea The Stars out of Treve -needs 10f+. Chased the pace and despite a good positional advantage over the fav got outpaced before staying on again only late..
