I agree with Glad’.
Taken 40/1+ on the machine about Trueshan. He’s carried a 7 lb penalty on his last two starts so is better than the distance he’s been beaten might suggest… and stays all day. Whereas apart from the fav… Most of his rivals either wouldn’t be sure to act on soft ground and / or stay the extreme trip on Soft.Value Is EverythingJune 11, 2024 at 20:25 #1697626It’s The Gold Cup, no need to put Ascot in the title.
June 17, 2024 at 17:27 #1698195Not sure why Spencer’s not on Caius Chorister. De La Sayette was initially 4/4 on the horse, but that didn’t continue. He is also on a long losing run, and doesn’t have a record of big winners. When you need to find a few pounds hard to believe he is the better choice.
June 18, 2024 at 12:26 #1698345I’ll have a small interest with Prydwen here.
Certainly up against it with some of these, but playing for places really. He seems to have never been better, and they’ve never sent him to Royal Ascot before, so just possible they’re really happy with him. I’m not too concerned about the ground for him either, so hoping he can give me a good run.
Three places only just now, but I’ll maybe even go 365 extra places. I’ll see how it looks Thursday

June 19, 2024 at 20:03 #1698771Kyprios if he retains ability before injury, if not Trawlerman

June 19, 2024 at 22:00 #1698786Happy to avoid KYPRIOS, when he won this race 2 years ago he came into it winning the Levmoss by 14 lengths but had to dig in to win by a length this year against a similar level of opposition. COLTRANE deserves a group 1, was runner up last year but has been a bit overlooked in the market at 14/1.
June 19, 2024 at 22:43 #1698796For me the Gold Cup is the race that always interests me the least but Coltrane is a big price for what he has achieved at Ascot.
The things I want most in life are the things that I can't win.
