Fair play TAPK, you selected one and got it

I can’t believe that beast has now won two such competitive races in a row. OK, so maybe a fast 6 furlongs was what he wanted, but he has had plenty of chances at 7f in big field handicaps this summer…what has changed? New trainer can find such improvement?

And how did he reverse such comprehensive form with Side Glance at Chester – when there appeared to be no hard luck story?

September 26, 2010 at 10:02 #319434Don’t get any smugger now TAPK! Not that that could be possible.

Congrats on your selection!
I got two placed at 33/1 and 25/1 so I’m pretty pleased. Victor Chandler paying 5 places on Swift Gift. Can you imagiane if Dale Swift was on him claiming 5lbs instead of winning on Cheveton at Haydock! Could have been a worthy headline. If only, if only….
Redford has been cut after his AGC win. Its hard enough trying to work out whos aimed at the race but I reckon Swift Gift will be and ran 7th in it last year. I reckon if Meehan gets a decent claimer like Swift or Biscuits he can go very close. It would be funny if D. Swift rode Swift G.
September 26, 2010 at 11:14 #319445Getzippy has just voiced thoughts that have been floating round my head for the past week; think ‘person walking round with visible question mark over their head’ [although my record of picking horses that only finish towards the back in these sort of races make me think that I must be missing something, somewhere…]

Without sounding Smug,
Redford
was drawn in the car park at Chester Zip,he never had a clear passage he was hampered at the start and he ran on well, closing down on
Side Glance
all the way to the line,a 2lb pull for barely 2l and of course his effortless victory at Ayr would have encouraged his loyal supporters! Side Glance will make a super 4yo mind!
September 26, 2010 at 20:10 #319570I don’t know about Moehat, but I hate being mortal.
Would you be kind enough to meet us both some time TAPK and to touch us?
