The two year old flying machine (at least at Ripon) has been moved from George Boughey to Alice Haynes. Presumably there must have been some sort of disagreement and falling out between Boughey and the owner.

I am sure this particular owner has moved horses from other trainers. I wonder if Haynes will fare any better?

According to social media last week, the move the colt needed was away from being the proud owner of a three-figure computer time figure with Timeform and simply into being a colt a trainer of numerous previous Coventry winners considered would be his next one.

I’m guessing the tidal wave of clock-watching hype bestowed upon Asadna might have influenced the owner into believing the colt only had to show up at Royal Ascot to collect and his abject failure to do so means the now former trainer has copped the blame.

I think he’s got a better juvenile prospect in the filly, Soprano, personally and Asadna won’t go on to be a racehorse he’ll miss, but time, though not necessarily sectional, will tell.

Wildensteins got to be head of world rankings in dummy spitting owner division.
Vacarme was followed by some other incidents i think .
Be a few other dummy spitters no doubt .I suppose those that pay the bills call the tune .

The petulant Parisian art dealer was in a zone of his own for that.

Must admit, I loved his colours, though, and he had some fab horses.

Wildenstein who had already fallen out with Peter Walwyn (who asked him to move his horses after he crticised Pat Eddery for a ride on Buckskin) spat the dummy out not only after the Vacarme incident at Goodwood but I believe it also had to do with when Lester then decided to ride Awaasif over All Along in the 83 Arc (All Along won the race).

That was a big part of the reason Lester split from Cecil (who trained Vacarme after he received the Wildenstein’s horses from Walwyn) and went freelance with Cauthen riding more for Cecil in 1984 (Claude Monet in the Dante & Derby being notable rides for Wildenstein) and eventually becoming Cecil’s stable jockey in 1985.

According to the RP asadna suffered a cut on the Friday before ascot

The owner didn’t want the horse to run, boughey felt he was fine to run and ran him anyway

So the owner moved him to Alice Haynes

You’d think Asadna’s best chance of a return to former time-hyped glory would be back over the very same course and distance at Ripon!

Unfortunately, I was at Salisbury when Task Force made his debut, so I’m not quite so sure about that.

The Salisbury runner up won a nursery off 76 next time out at Newbury, is rated 80 now and Task Force made him look sick at the Netherhampton venue.

Task Force, despite still showing his inexperience for me, sure put the “sad” into Asadna there.

    The clock cannot lie!

    (But it can mislead).

Task Force did it well enough. His head carriage looked a bit awkward and I am not convinced he was in love with the track but his class has let him get away with it.

Asadna looks like a one hit wonder.

Let’s hope Asadna doesn’t clock a faster numbers than the pensioner beach joggers, leading time students to believe a Grade 1 career in the USA still awaits him.

    Boughey to Haynes.
I don’t think you can blame the horse for not showing the same form.
Most horses doing that move wouldn’t be able to show the same form.
…And something looks amiss with him at present too.

Therefore what people are judging Asadna on is one poor run at Royal Ascot.
A run where the horse received a cut the Friday before.

Boughey lost many of the owner’s horses at the same time as Asadna.
Including Oaks Day handicap winner Cadillac, who also disappointed at Royal Ascot (15th of 16) at a time when Boughey was generally in poor form. Before running for Haynes at Goodwood. 40/1 beaten 8 3/4 lengths in 9th.
To be fair, Safiya has done pretty well since the move, with two wins in novice company.
Boughey’s Chester Festival handicap winner Danger Alert next time out – for Haynes – finished 6th of 8.

George Boughey’s name is still against 5 horses of the owner’s in the Racing Post. But none of them have run since the time of Royal Ascot. So whether they’ll actually appear as moved to Haynes once entered – like the others?

A shocking slur on Ms Haynes, IMO!

I’d hate to think how bad Frankel would have been if his owner had sent him off to Haynes..

There’s not showing the same form and then there’s been a shadow of your previous self. Horses are horses and all of them can behave differently and develop in attitude in their own ways
To put it all down as the trainers fault for the horse running shockers is indeed shocking

To be in denial about the fallibility of the educated guesstimates that is time study and to instead choose to blame the trainer – a lady trainer, at that! – is, at best, ungallant, ignoble and positively unchivalrous.

And at worst the act of a complete and utter bounder!
