Hi all.
I see Jack The Giant has an entry for the Ryanair.
Has anyone got any information on when he will be back on the track.
Also, any more news on Mad Max? ? ?
Thanks.

January 15, 2010 at 14:54 #270054Lovely big horse that Mad Max. Apart from the obvious Party Politics what would you say were other unusually big horses?
I’ll offer up French Holly…

I posted some time ago about Mad Max having an operation for his wind and that Nicky Henderson regards him as a future Gold Cup winner. He’s likely to run soon as his entries would suggest but I would be careful if thinking off backing him. Not saying he won’t hack up but he’s entered up over 2 miles which will be a good test to see if the wind op has worked.
Jack the Giant has/had ligament problems. His legs may want soft ground but he doesn’t so finding the right race for him won’t be easy, so it could be some time before we see him.
I would think his chances of making Cheltenham are very remote as he’s got a handle with care label round his neck.

Excited about Mad Max, i think he is a right horse, should win some very good races, i hope he has retained all his ability whilst he has been off the track.
Hope to see Jack The Giant out again soon.
January 15, 2010 at 19:02 #270117Not trained by Henderson but has anyone any word on Paul Nicholls’ AITEEN THIRTYTHREE?
Fine looking animal but not sighted since Chepstow in the autumn and no entries on the Racing Post site.

January 15, 2010 at 19:17 #270124In Paul Barber’s Weekender interview this week he mentions he’s laid up with sore shins so they’re taking their time with him. Should be out again this season but they’re in no rush.
January 16, 2010 at 07:30 #270167Thanks, Scott.
Sore shins, hmmmmmmmmmmmm, how did he get them?
