Any ideas please?

Has anyone got any ideas how this Section can be both instructive and entertaining please? I think it would be good to see a variety of subjects covered apart from particular dog fancies?
Has anybody ever struck lucky at the dogs or pulled of a particular coup? What, if any, system do you use for making your selections and what kind of things should we be looking out for or avoiding? Can betting on the dogs be made to pay or is it even harder than on the horses? Do you have a favoured track? What kind of strokes do the trainers/ handlers pull in order to win or lose?
From a betting point of view I find the odds at BAGS meetings are not as generous as they once were. Finding regular winners at decent prices is difficult for me so recently I’ve tended to just do forecasts where the returns can be very lucrative. I’ve often wondered, do people back each-way and is there much laying of bets on the exchanges?
