I don’t often get carried away when it comes to so called top class horses but this Kauto Star is something way out of the ordinary. He is being trained properly that’s for sure.
He was beaten first time out but that has absolutely no reflection on his ability.
It’s hard to ignore he tends to clout one now and again but don’t forget he’s a 7 year old and still relatively inexperienced. Personally I will be suprised if he falls again. There’s a huge difference between a novice chaser and seasoned one and basically he was still a novice, age wise, when winning last year.
I think we will see a different and much better and wiser Kauto Star this season. Come March I expect him to be odds on at Cheltenham and win very easily barring accidents.
Definately the best I have seen in years and to answer the question what is a fair price……whatever price you can get.
