Have we seen the new Pawan?? First Order, although beaten this evening at Wolverampton under a penalty, looks to of been given a new lease of light by Ann!

You have to commend Ann and her ‘one woman operation’ that she runs with the support of her sister!

I was only talking about her today, speedy. The whole of Southwell must have travelled down to back First Order which seemed to be everyone’s nap of the day – at least those I spoke to.

She’s a bloody good trainer but only a very moderate jockey. She got the pace all wrong tonight and I could hear the groans of the faithful from here.

I’d have horses with her as a trainer no worries – not that she would have them, as an enthusiastic amateur – on the condition that she got someone else to ride them.

Wish I listened to you sberry, backed Pawan many times last year, decided with the start of the new year I’d give up on it, look what happens, it was out of the handicap and Anne was overweight(in jockey terms ) and it runs a cracker
