I know it’s the season for silly stories, especially on the Daily Mail online (guilty pleasure) but this article really stoops low in terms of basic quality. I think I could write better drivel in my sleep:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article … imals.html
I’ve always thought that Animal Aid must run a disproportionately effective PR operation given the size of the organisation but I never failed to be astounded by the amount of publicity they get for churning out fact-bare nonsense. In this case though, "journalist" Jaya Narain really does take the biscuit in writing absolute b***ocks:
"But the toll of horses who die or are destroyed on racecourses each year is leading to a wave of public disgust".
I note Animal Aid have written to Minister David Heath, who despite being a wishy washy Lib Dem
should hopefully shove it in the bin where it belongs.I know I shouldn’t rise to the Animal Aid bait but I get sick to death of it being considered a respectable organisation by the MSM. It’s bad enough with the RSPCA digging the knife in to racing which continues to be hapless at defending itself against the animal rights lobby.
August 5, 2013 at 23:19 #447730The Observer had a similar article yesterday.

"Scum, sub-human scum."
