Cheers Gord, if that’s the impression you get when you read my thread then you must be very skilled yourself

Skilled is an understatement Boz,I paint a picture with words, words that stroke a canvas like a horse floating across good summer ground,I use pastel hues to create the impression then outline the bold confirmation of the picture with a deeper sense of purpose. The end result ends in a Masterpiece that only I can create,a unique blend of natural talent and an eye for a picture that is self taught.Funnily enough I too lived in Lincolnshire for a period of my life,it all adds to the rich tapestry of gaining knowledge something
Stubbs
himself excelled at through his art! This fellow is special, you heard it here first!

I’m quite keen to take this
Stubbs
on Gordy, but I do so with increasing trepidation following continuous support for him in both the Coventry and Guineas markets. I’ve been very fond of this
Championship
since impressing on debut for Tuesday’s race, but your constant plugging of ‘the next Ballydoyle superstar’ has left me feeling like I have the devil perched on my right shoulder, whispering the inevitable into my ear

Every day that passes I also breeze through the latest declarations, awaiting news on the debut of my ambitious Guineas hope
Almuhalab
. This is no forlorn dream yet Gord, see you at Newmarket in May
June 16, 2013 at 15:46 #442938An interesting bit of group action at Cork today sees Jim Bolger’s talented filly
We’ll Go Walking
finally get the step up in trip she so truly needs to show her best. She finished a remote last last time out over a very inadequate trip of a mile and I’ve been banging Jim’s door down to get her over a mile and half ever since(hypothetically speaking of course
). It’s a tricky little race but I think she has a fair each-way chance, even if our Kev has deserted her. We’ll Go Walking
4.20 Cork, £10e/w@8/1 with Bet365(Best odds guaranteed)
She looks a handful this one
Certainly needs to learn to settle better and sort herself out mentally if she’s to make the best of her undoubted ability. I’ll keep my beady eye cast over her in the future though, I’m sure there’s a decent race or two in her yet

June 16, 2013 at 23:17 #442973Tomorrow is
that day
, that one day of emptiness you get, just like the Monday before a Cheltenham festival. The weekend’s gone and taken the half-decent racing with it, but the world class stuff is still to come, which leaves tomorrow. That yawning gap in the racing calendar which leaves you with the Monday blues. Horrible horrible day………..
"Mrs Boz, polish my clubs. I’m going for a round of golf tomorrow……….."

Big day tomorrow Boz! Peron down to 6/1 already, lets hope he stamps his class over this field, he’ll be in a better race than this at next years festival that’s for sure.

Readily available at 7s now Ben, but my guess is that when the rain comes tomorrow so will the gamble. God bless the Great British weather
I stand by my original hunch that he’ll go off 7/2 favourite and with a clear run I’m hoping he’ll get the job done. I’ll be staggered if this one’s not up to contesting group races later in the season and the proof should be in the pudding tomorrow. One thing I can say for certain is that at 4.24 tomorrow afternoon there’ll be a fair few TRFers with their a*ses twitching
June 20, 2013 at 13:59 #443361With today’s list of non runners increasing by the minute, my guess is it’ll be only a matter of time before
Cape Peron
is added to it

The pitfalls on ante-posting, but I wouldn’t change it for the world

Keep the faith Boz,I’ve taken 7/1 myself……….It could still yet rain, just in time but I think he’ll go on this ground anyway!

Here’s hoping Gord. The thing that’s surprising me is that he’s now as big as 8/1
Could it be that he’ll go off bigger than my 10/1, a price that at the time I thought was rip-snorting value
June 20, 2013 at 14:43 #443373During these long summer months when all I end up doing is wishing my life away by counting down the days until the start of the jumps season proper, I shall be casting my beady eye over the Irish Sea or potentially north of the border awaiting one name in particular. Most people tend to class the
real
start of the National Hunt season as Paddy Power Gold Cup day, one of my favourite races to target all year round. Now those of us who like to look to the fore will be piecing together the bits of the puzzle long before the net has been cast, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing

The answer I’ve come up with is
Carlito Brigante
, a horse who for my money is probably rated 5 or 6lbs too low to make it into the race on the average year, so considering his need for genuine good ground perhaps a summer spin to get the hike wouldn’t be so out of the question. He comes to life on a better surface, especially round Cheltenham as he absolutely loves the place. No buggar loves a big Cheltenham pot like Gordon Elliot and Michael O’Leary alike so they certainly wouldn’t be shy in sending him over. Although the question mark over the Cotswolds’ November weather would make him a write-off with regards to an ante-post tilt, I’ll still happily put him up at this stage.
The trap is set, the boy runs tomorrow at Down Royal. If he can go up a couple of pounds from tomorrow night’s run my guess would be it’s full speed ahead Cheltenham in November
I’ve been quoted 20/1 for him for the Paddy Power, dare I wade in so early on such a ground dependent horse……..?June 20, 2013 at 15:22 #443378With today’s list of non runners increasing by the minute, my guess is it’ll be only a matter of time before

June 20, 2013 at 20:09 #443412The way
Cape Peron
travelled I thought for a while everyone posting tonight would be sipping champagne whilst doing so. Not to be unfortunately, he’ll have his day on more easing ground and there’s definitely plenty of improvement to come from him. The only irritating thing for me was that I was one of the minority who was on at 4 places
Bloody typical!
June 20, 2013 at 20:12 #443413‘Mrs Boz’ has had a £10 free bet this evening,
Joyeuse
and
Just The Judge
double. Scant consolation for
Cape Peron
if it comes in but I’ll take it
June 20, 2013 at 21:03 #443425Love the avatar by the way Boz, beast of a horse
