Just put the racing on in time to see this poor horse trying to run on three legs at Musselburgh. He was coming up to 12 and looking likely to win the race. Nick Alexander has put a lovely tribute on his website (sorry, not technologically adept enough to put a link on). He’d been with them since he was 2. Apparently Nick Alexander held him while he was euthanised after breaking his shoulder. Just so sad.

Condolences to all who loved him.

Some lovely photos of him … and he was certainly a well loved character … well named judging by his pre-race behaviour! Sad loss …December 24, 2020 at 22:09 #1515080Thanks for sharing, lochinver. A very lovely tribute by a trainer who really cares an awful lot about his horses.
Rest in peace Always Tipsy
