December 12, 2007 at 06:33 #130104and my opinion for you above mate, is sam thomas is [expletive], thats why hes second choice to ruby, i much prefer the apprentice liam heard to sam thomas
Being second Jockey to Ruby doesn’t make you a bad Jockey quite the opposite in fact.
Sam the bam will ride more winners than 60% of the stable jockey’s in the Country.
Wasn’t the great John Francome 2nd Jockey at Fred Winter’s?, Jonjo was with Gordon at the same time as big Ron Barry, so was David Goulding and if you said either was a bad Jockey you would be laughed of the forum.
The list is endless and Thomas is a young man. I was definately not a fan myself but recently he has done more than prove himself. I hold my hand up and admit I was wrong about the guy.
He gave Kauto a good ride though he was far from perfect in his judgment. He made a little bit too much use of him IMO but he did win . I reckon he would be a pretty nervous boy so you have to make some allowance.
He was as cool as a cucumber on Denman and you could say what you like about it being easy to ride a good horse but he gave the horse an absolutely brilliant ride.
For the third week running he wins the big race of the day on Twist Magic and gets his hat trick……again giving him a perfect ride.
He’s ridng more than his fair share of winners in Rub’y abscence and achieved more in 3 weeks than most Jockey’s would in a life time,,,,,,,,,,,not bad for a toss pot is it?
December 12, 2007 at 15:33 #130175say what you like lol, he still isnt as succsessfull as ruby walsh and he never will be, denman and kauto star are top horses in the world, even that ****** can win on them. its like gaspara for instance when andrew glassonbury rode it, the horse is that good, even wankers win on them. but theyre no good with novices, ive lost count the times sam thomas loses on odds on shots etc.

I’ve just bought my son a remote control tarantula for Christmas. I hope it’s not you in the box
.December 12, 2007 at 17:00 #130190Hmm, I think the language filters need a bit of a tweaking – they must be set for Yankee Doodle language, as you can say w***** but not a r s e! It’s great when you call an American a w***** and he doesn’t know what it means

Anyway, back to the subject at hand: this guy is either on a wind up or is the perfect example of "talks-through-his-pocket-bets-10p-yankees-washes-once-a-week-on-the-dole-track-suit-man" that is found in every bookies office up and down the land.
Discuss.
