Fairly straightforward one for me this, and I’ll stick with one of my regulars, Ontheropes.

Serious work to do on his Cheltenham run, and you could certainly argue that you’d want a younger one for this, not to mention that this is probably short enough, but if they sent him out in front, like his run for Willie Mullins in The Galway Blazers, then I think he’d be worth a shot

I think former stablemate Annamix has solid EW claims again, and also interested in Ramillies, and Percussion

I’ll definitely have a couple in this, but for now, until the market forms properly, an early bet on Ontheropes. Hoping to beat 25’s

Go Go Geronimo for me 66s ew hes a brave lad front runner and was only just piped at the Cheltenham Fox hunters April meeting in 2022, beaten by latenightfumble. Then had a run in the Hunter Chase at the festival 2023. Has been out for a while but doing ok in points and ran so so at the Hunter Chase night at Stratford last year. But. still a cliff horse for me. Was only beaten 28 lengths behind Fier Jaguen recently..oh dear..
    Mr Davis. Council me please.

I’ve backed Fier Jaguen like losing was out of the question for the last two runnings. He unseated when going well the first time and didn’t line up the second! I’m a glutton for punishment and I’ll go in again. He’s still super consistent and he’s Bradley Gibb’s sole entry, so I’m confident he’ll turn up this time!

Great to see Evas Oskar again and he’s of interest. Another who was running a big race when unseating over these fences a couple years ago. Has aquitted himself well in hunter chases so far. The trip is on the sharp side, but I’ll be having a small go.

I like to look at anything J J O’Shea sends here and he has two in Gracchus De Balme and Willewonga. The former’s form ties in with My Drogo, who is understandably well fancied. The latter’s form ties in with Evas Oskar, so if I like one, I have to like the other!

I don’t really want four, but I can’t nail any one down at this point.

I’m keen on two of those already mentioned, my Drogo and Milan Forth, and I’ve had token bets at this stage at 11-2 + 16-1

Fancy Lifetime Ambition, but also Percussion has good form on the track. Backed both :good:

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

I really need Ontheropes to be ridden like he was at Galway or I can forget it, but still hopeful. Main bet of the day too

Changing my mind between Ramillies, Percussion, and Annamix, for the backup, but in the end, went with Annamix.

    Annamix 25’s
    Ontheropes 66’s EW5Pls
