IndianInk……….you’ve saved me a lot of typing. Pateese will be my only single bet of the day, aside from my usual Mug 31.
Really like this horse and I’m expecting him to develop into a very smart one next season. Good luck!
April 7, 2011 at 08:31 #349000I don’t understand the hype around Zarkandar, he seems to have more than his share of temperament and was scrubbed along quite early in the Triumph. He could be good enough to win this as well with the lack of quality opposition apart from Grandouet, but will get roughed up I expect.
Watching the triumph again he didn’t travel all that well to be fair but quickened very nicely, jumped the last beautifully and was going further away from all of them at the line, what’s not to like!?
April 7, 2011 at 10:53 #349017I do think Gordon Elliott could have a very good day again today, he must be one of the best up and coming trainers around. I have to admit thinking his GN win was going to be a ‘flash in the pan’ but how wrong was i!!
Carlito Brigante 200 and Russian War 525 could be a very nice EW double
April 7, 2011 at 11:06 #349018Will all you Denman knockers push the price out to 6/4 please.
I’ve heard some shite, but jaysus to come up with anything from that line up that can get withing 20 lgth of him takes some doing. He should be 2/5.
I was delighted to read he had no chance in the paper but I thought you lot would know better.
April 7, 2011 at 12:39 #349042Why is Karabak such a big price? Surely he’s been crying out for a step back up to 3m? All his wins are on good or good/soft and hopefully the first time blinkers will wake him up a bit as well.
April 7, 2011 at 13:09 #349045BB beat GC without really having a hard race, should beat him further on Thursday; GC is chasing easy cash before he goes..chasing
stunning, simply devastating
grands who?
April 7, 2011 at 13:22 #349046Another wonderful effort, but time and time again we’ve heard that Big Buck’s could compete in a Champion Hurdle and there was a perfect opportunity for him to prove that assumption this week.
Connections could have opted for the Aintree Hurdle over two miles-four, where Binocular and Peddlers Cross would have been waiting for him.
He has already proven his superiority over these horses, so why not accept a different challenge?
April 7, 2011 at 13:51 #349050What a truly outstanding horse and to think they only ended up over hurdles as Ruby was injured and poor Sam Thomes ‘slid’ off in the Hennessey! Where would BB be now if he had won that day? What a thought
April 7, 2011 at 13:56 #349051He might have been competing against better horses instaed of running up a sequence in the 4th division of National Hunt racing. At least Inglis Drever put his reputation on the line over 2+1/2.

The horse always suffered with jumping difficulties over fences, so chances are he wouldn’t have achieved a fraction of what he has over timber.
A staying hurdler. Pure and simple.
April 7, 2011 at 14:19 #349055How terrible has Punchestowns become, an absolute rubbish performance,
April 7, 2011 at 14:19 #349056I think that Bowl was a worse race than any of us had imagined…worst Grade 1 over jumps for quite a while. What’s even more frustrating is that I had a sizeable bet on Nackers for the race last year…
Punchestowns bye bye, completely give up on him, didn’t jump a twig.
Big Buck’s was supreme, incredible performance.
April 7, 2011 at 15:22 #349060I’m Delilah could have won this if not for the really bad interference, was way back after the fav fell and still took 3rd, eyecatching performance.

Great to see Willie keep his seat and find the line this time. Cannot believe the amount of late money for Turko given his almost pathetic Aintree history.
Good to see the Wylie’s get another decent winner too. They put plenty into the game. Well deserved success.
Big Bucks simply supreme. The 1.74 about him surprised me too.
There were few suprised by Denman’s performance. Quite sad hearing that folks in Watford had 50k cash to dump into William Hill’s lap. You can find sounder 5/4 pops every week of the year.

So much for Cheltenham form not transferring to Aintree, eh?

Turns out we did know better! Denman was always going to struggle today, one of my fave all time horses but wouldn’t have touched him with a barge pole today.
We all make bad calls though better luck tomorrow!
