Who sold and rented all the flats and houses to the foreigners?
July 8, 2025 at 16:49 #1735741As Starmer’s unlikely to call an election anytime soon speculating who may replace him would be a fruitless exercise.
Today it was announced doctors have voted to strike ……. less than a year ago they were given 22% and now they are back for more.
I believe they are asking for 20% plus …. the Government has a offer on the table of 4% I seem to recall.
If by some chance the doctors accept the 4% deal,I would say well done but I’m not holding my breath. However a deal does need to come with productivity improvements.
Place your bets on who will cave in …… Starmers Government 1/20 …. doctors 6/1
good luck to allJuly 8, 2025 at 17:42 #1735742Yet another example of Labour having to clean up a mess of the Tories’ making.
But the rightwing media will still make it look like it’s Labour’s fault.
July 8, 2025 at 18:24 #1735747Although I was fully behind the doctors last year I’m pretty annoyed with them now. I don’t think they’ll find much support this time round. I don’t’t know about hospital doctors but when I worked for a GP surgery the doctors did less and less eg they no longer had to be on call at night; locums were used. I had to get extra strong coffee on the go to get any doctor through the morning who had been on call the night before. I’m struggling to get a face to face consultation with a GP even though I’ve become almost housebound with my dodgy knees.
July 8, 2025 at 19:56 #1735753Kid as usual knocking Labour while side stepping the fact the Tories failed to give doctors any type of raise , still waiting for an answer on my previous twice asked question kid
July 8, 2025 at 19:59 #1735754The government didn’t cave in with the doctors last year. Just behaved honourably towards them.
July 9, 2025 at 05:23 #1735758“for a start it’s not, never has been and never will be an Islamic country”.
Can we return to this in 30 years time Richard and see if you’re correct?
July 9, 2025 at 05:34 #1735759It’s sad that some people are more concerned about the 0% chance of this country becoming Muslim than the 100% certainty of it being asset-stripped if Reform get in.
July 9, 2025 at 06:17 #1735763I’m not sure how many assets are left to be stripped now, most of the family jewels have gone. NHS, I suppose, is a major one and maybe even the armed forces?

I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highwaysJuly 9, 2025 at 06:18 #1735764We can return in 30 years, 100 years or 1,000 years if you like. I’ll still be right. It is absolutely ludicrous to suggest otherwise.
Another thing that has a far greater than zero chance if happening is continuing climate breakdown but nobody gives a damn about that either. It literally happens in front of people’s eyes and they still deny it.
July 9, 2025 at 06:22 #1735766I don’t think it’s a case of people denying climate change, in this country at least, Richard, but rather that they don’t want to make the necessary changes.
Stop driving, flying and buying unnecessary crap? Nah.
July 9, 2025 at 06:48 #1735767Fair comment, more head in the sand than outright denial.
Of course what will happen is that, globally speaking, the lowest lying areas will get flooded and the hottest areas will become uninhabitable, wonder where everyone thinks all those people will go?
July 9, 2025 at 07:25 #1735768Well, they’ll come here and turn the country Muslim of course…
July 9, 2025 at 09:55 #1735770Well population growth won’t be a problem once they make shirt lifting compulsory!

I've walked and I crawled on six crooked highwaysJuly 9, 2025 at 14:16 #1735779Don’t worry – I’m sure that our new Islamist overlords will import lots of camels for us to shag.
July 9, 2025 at 21:59 #1735814I remember back in the eighties when I was a teenager people saying we’ll be overrun by Muslims, mosques and be governed by Sharia law in 20 years time.

Yet another failed Tory defects to Reform. But remember they are different and nothing like the two main parties.
