The last UK racecourse to race on the Sabbath is Cartmel today. To satisfy the local religious community, committed worshippers at the village priory today are to receive free admission to the races.
Got to be worth a visit this morning for anyone in the area and intending to go to the races.

I confused the missus as well Tim when I told her, must have worded it wrong.
Every other track in Britain apart from Cartmel has staged a Sunday meeting until today. Hope that makes sense.
