Wednesday 4th Feb

2.40 Ling-In the absence of Rowan Pursuit Garrigon comes out top of all areas covered, has the profile of an improving colt,it has St Savarin to beat but with slight improvement has a chance.

3.40 Ling-Dance On The Top-looks to be superior all ratings, the manner of its win was impressive,a repeat of that run puts it in with a fine chance.

    Kersly,

I’m not a great fan of punting on the AW, but with your recent tipping record had to follow your advice and read your post in time to back Dance on the Top.

    Many thanks
Glad you got on Ollie.

    Today-Thursday 5th.

4.00 Southwell-Inchcoonan-this drop in class puts him top of the selection method, should strip fitter today, looks likely to give its running at 2.98 on the exchanges I’ve made it a selection. The only horse that meets criteria today.

Poor run by Inchcoonan yesterday perhaps on the downgrade.

In the 4.30 Wolvs-Claptrap comes out top in areas cosidered,Ithought twice about posting as the RP doesn’t exactly seem confident but it does come out on top in all areas and has the assistance of Tony Culhane. This is the correct distance. It has been beaten by Failed To Hit but that was at !m 4f .I think it needs this trip.It has been placed 6/14 on thev AW.

    Heres hoping-kersly

Cheers Cruiser-Lets hope there is a good week ahead.
In the 3.30 Wolvs-Buz Kiri is very well placed in all areas looked at(eg-Own Ratings,RPR,ATR speed figs-etc with 111212 making him clear of opponents.)Pedigree indicates late improvers.

In the 4.40 Southwell the performances behind Sendintank and Fall In Line give Nakwa figures of 232112 which compares favourably with opponents, should stay as his top turf figs gained on stiff courses such as Ponte

Very quiet this week while I modified the selection process, still following the same basic idea but have ordered the criteria in order of importance dependant on the type of race.

2.20 Wolvs-Bridgewater Boys looks the one with most improvement, the distance of 7f is ideal, drawn fine in 4 has the early pace to be well placed, won with something in hand importantly in a decent time, acts on the course.

In the 2.50 Wolvs-Mandoob looks strong is a CD winner who appears to be reaching his peak, creditable run in handicap last time, yard had a recent winner

Unusually five selections on one day. These all meet the criteria

    2.25 Hayd-Rum Pointer
2.55-King Revo
3.00-Joe Blake
3.10 Northside Lodge

    1.40-Wilie John Daly(running as I post)

Short of time for more detailed analysis.

I’ve had chance to look at the later races and there is one more qualifier

5.05 Hayd-He’s Our Boss qualifies in all areas rated top in the field, also the fact that the trainer had a winner earlier adds to confidence.

I have been working on a formulae which incorporates ratings/f/c/speed,class of race/draw/comments that are graded-etc
I thought I might use these for placepot purposes.

    1.40 Ling-Maggies Pet/Miss Peaches
2.10 Ling- Badou/Lady Predominant
2.40 Ling-Unleaded/Second Paige
3.10 Ling-Ballinger Ridge/Devine Command
3.40-Ling-The Gay Fox/Tickle
4.10-Ling-Bali Star/Lydias Look
4.40 Ling-Monduru/All On My Own

    1.50 Wolvs-Cark/Off Hire
2.20 Wolvs-Cruise Director/Digger
2.50 Wolvs-Best Lead/Tigress
3.20 Wolvs-Pacific Ocean/Many Thanks
3.50 Wolvs-Vengerov/Play Master
4.20 Wolvs-New Options/Speedfit Free
4.50 Wolvs-To Wit To Woo/Sorbiesharry

The two that stand out are ..

2.40 Ling-Unleaded-suited by the distance staying on well this grade suits taken out of a race at Southwell yesterday.every chance

3.50 Wolvs-Vengerov-won easily at Southwell improving well placed in this handicap.
