This favourite was 4/7 last night but has drifted to 8/11 this morning. Am I missing something? Because this horse was 3rd in the Derby last year and on his reappearance this season won a maiden by 13 lengths! The step up to 1m6f should suit the fav to the ground.

Hook Up could be the main danger, but I’d still have the fav at long odds on.

Amhran Na Bhfiann the Derby third won an ordinary maiden at Dundalk last time.
The Derby form would not have been enhanced there and a beating tonight would lower his value.
Bridge Native (4th) a multiple winner over jumps was the only horse of note in the maiden on the sand.
Amhran Na Bhfiann is a non runner now.

    Cheers Ben,
It may be the ground turning up softer than ideal.
It might be worth a wait to see how the earlier races go. Also a few jumpers in there who may or may not enjoy the stalls experience.
    Jockey bookings will be interesting.
    Willie Mullins runs three.
I think Colin Keane is on an Irish derby horse.
    Market will be informative.
