    Papa Don’t Preach was reported to have bolted before the race.

    The horse was allowed to take his chance and finished tailed off.

    He was something like a 12 to 14/1 chance, so it was unlikely he would have won. However, some people will have backed the horse.

    Shouldn’t the horse have been withdrawn? There were 9 declared, so withdrawing the horse would not have affected the each way terms.

    Anyone who backed him got no run for their money.

    You’d think that, over 20 years into the 21st century, respect for punters as consumers of the racing product would have improved significantly since our youth.

    You’d have to be absolutely bonkers to back that horse off 99 however totally understand what you’re saying be annoyed if you did
