I’ve been waiting for 3 months now for Noble Jack to run. He didn’t enter the stalls at Wolverhampton a couple of months ago so I thought I’d see him there again soon over 9 furlongs taking on the likes of Strike Force, Idol Deputy, One Scoop or Two and Lean on Pete. But no, it’s in the last race at Wetherby today. A 2 mile handicap hurdle for lady jockeys.

Noble Jack has some hurdle experience albeit never really finishing better than mid division, but since improving on the all weather flat, and now this strange swith back to hurdling under new trainer Richard Ford, surely this has been targetted. Without doubt, Noble Jack would have been highly competitive in decent flat handicaps on the all weather, but the owners are trying hurdling again in this lady jockey race.

I’ve been looking out for future entries for this horse and they booked the one and only Lucy Alexander a few days back to take the ride at 5.15 today. Well I’ve gone my maximum stakes at 6/1 (best price guaranteed if longer), and I’m hoping for a very good run indeed.

Hope I’m not chasing my losses when he’s back at Wolverhampton next week after a no show today!

Not a race to get involved in IMO batt, lowest of the low!
