Shout out to TheBluesBrother for his speed ratings, it gave me Raffle prize today and Arizona yesterday…
June 20, 2019 at 21:24 #1446238Good stuff BB
June 20, 2019 at 21:35 #1446242Really liked the look of Toronto at Leapordstown tonight. Think the commentator called it right, he won “Cheekily”, and I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on him.
One from Royal Ascot who impressed me was Red Epaulette. Obviously not one for the big prizes, but there’s surely some good races in him over the next few seasons.

June 23, 2019 at 22:35 #1446833Glasvegas, who I gave a mention to earlier, surprised even me in The Windsor Castle. I thought that it was an excellent effort.
June 29, 2019 at 14:13 #1447278That was a very nice performance from Summer Romance at Newmarket just now.
June 29, 2019 at 19:07 #1447304SISKIN still unbeaten he won well he did
ALBIGNA Also unbeaten after 2starts where it look like needs 7f now strong at finish
ARMORY one i like for 2000 guineas 25/1 as long he avoid July Newmarket meeting
July 5, 2019 at 17:05 #1447634MAN OF THE NIGHT
Won well on debut last night at 6f and for me extra furlong this year also got group one entries this year
Which horses seen so far like for classic next year only one so far ARMORY won curragh maiden last time out
July 5, 2019 at 23:19 #1447682My main interest would be Toronto at this stage Darren.
July 6, 2019 at 08:14 #1447726MAN OF THE NIGHT
Darren for a hype horse all he did was win a very weak race, on the clock the his performance was aweful, so much so, Top Speed assessed the performance at 40 (including RP WFA) which makes the performave no better than a selling plater.
My assesment was to award a speed figure of 31 (No WFA), I will be very surprised if he ever earns any black type, I hope I am wrong.
Mike.
July 6, 2019 at 12:01 #1447764Very, very impressed with that Liberty Beach yesterday at Sandown.
July 8, 2019 at 10:23 #1447994Boosala is an interesting entry in the July Stakes. Will clearly need to step up, interested did anyone see him?
He beat in 2nd Raahy who had previous experience. Raahy was third at doncaster on debut, and the 2nd that day finished 7ls of Arizona in the Coventry. Raahy has since won his maiden by 4ls. The third, Tomfre was having his debut behind Boosala too, and has since won his maiden at the second time of asking, albeit only recording an rpr of 77.
It seems a decent maiden considering Boosala won by 1.5ls that day, he did take his time, but when he got going, he stayed on easily to win. He’s a half bro to Kananee who people might remember 2yrs as being quite a sharp 2yo.

July 11, 2019 at 18:00 #1448279Just a wee bit disappointing, but surely more to come.
I thought East of Eden looked promising at Newmarket.
July 24, 2019 at 10:41 #1449204Tomorrow night at Leopardstown will be worth watching. The wealth of 2yo talent on show could be extraordinary. AOB with a Kingman + Tyros stakes where Aidan sends his good 2yos!
