He’s not 9 though, he will be 11 in March. Surely one or two with younger legs will do him on the run in.

Perhaps Mike you are right- i wouldn’t be backing him right now for it anyway.

Happy with my Paisley Park selection’s last two runs. For context, RPR have him down as running 156 on Saturday, the winner of this last year won it with a rating of 162. Below par year + the fact it was a muddling pace obviously downgrade last years race, but PP is improving.

He needs to hurdle slicker, perhaps he won’t be seen at his best until chasing, but a nice darkhorse in a weak enough race.

Elliot announced that Cracking Smart will stay over hurdles this season.
In a weak divison ive took the 33s with bet365 for an ew bet.

Backed Paisley Park 25/1 nrnb in the event he runs well today. Looks like the now annual staying hurdle improver, an honour occupied by the likes of Thistlecrack, Unowhatimeanharry and Sam Spinner in recent years.

None of the horses running in the long walk today will run into a place in the stayers hurdle in March.

For what it’s worth I’m on Cracking Smart quite big for Any Race.

But I’ve too taken the 33s for this each way.

    Cracking Smart e/w 33/1

Nice one Peter, Paisley Park certainly looked like he is a fast improving sort. As you said,
a bit like Unowhatimeanharry when he wasn’t initially thought good enough by some but just
kept winning. He was one of my favourites and did me very well. You are well ahead of the
pack with the 25s you took, he’s best priced 16s now and as low as 10s with PP. Good luck
    mate :good:

You’ll get to see if Faugheen is up to scratch next week; if he can perform to the level he did at Punchestown then I’d give him a chance here; he’ll be up against Apples Jade and Supasundae so if he wins there that form would be way too strong for anything else in this. If he’s not up to it I’ve no reason to oppose Penhill making it 3/3 at the festival.

If The Cap Fits is running some very good trials for this. Today and the time before. Hope Harry Fry sees the light and goes for this. 16-1 NRNB.

Bapaume is 50s NRNB with b365 so I have backed him EW.
I know he has only been 4th and 3rd this season beaten a distance but nothing behind AJ was going to get given a hard time to try to come second and I think 50s is good value for an EW bet.

West Approach strikes me as being an unpredictable character but I will have a small bet 33-1 nrnb

I still think that Penhill is the one to beat here, but as usual it’s a great betting heat, and the race looks as competitive as ever.

    Christmas period was interesting.

Midnight Shadow was a revelation, and I like horses which bag “recognised” races. He’s not been around long, and can already boast a Scottish Champion Hurdle, and a Relkeel. These races are tough to land, and he’s won them both well. More to come, and he looks a dark horse for this.

I said the other day, Aux Ptit Soins didn’t necessarily have a future in Handicaps, and hardly a surprise that he heading for The Stayers now as well.

Bachasson might be staying over timber as well, and he’d have to be come into the picture as well.

I know falling 2 out is too early say, but apart from that, do you think he is still up to it? From what I saw I’D SAY HE IS…

VtC, I know you’re a fan, do you think Bachasson would go here? I think he will, and I’m willing to bet him at 25/1 each way here.
