that can only mean one thing….
I can see the headlines already.. Is now the time to make a move on Yorkhill?
I’m amazed Yorkhill didn’t get an entry…Just in case the impossible happened, both ‘Annie’ and ‘faugheen’ never made it.
Mullins was interviewed a couple of weeks ago, may have only been last week, and I quote him here: I could go back hurdling in a flash. I’m surprised I even went novice chasing with him this year.”
We know Mullins is not afraid to supplement a super sub and lately his usual suspect VVM doesn’t seem to have it in her to win a Champion Hurdle (although I wouldn’t write her off just yet). If Yorkhill runs he wins, seems like such an easy decision.
11/4 Yorkhill with Skybet is a joke for this.
February 1, 2017 at 21:37 #1285230Looks like Vroom Vroom needs a trip after that Donny run so defo no Champ Hurdle. Not sure where she fits in this year
February 1, 2017 at 21:40 #1285231Paddy Power @ 7/2 is even funnier

Funny about Maggy, I feel it was more the ground than the trip that exposed her. It always looked like she wanted to go and zoom up past Midnight Jazz but the ground just sucked up all her speed. She did beat Identity Thief over 2 miles which is probably her best form to date.
With a dangerous looking Apples Jade waiting down the Mares route your guess is as good as mine as to where she goes.

Definately agree with the Apples Jade quote. I think the stayers is the more likely target but wont be getting any of my cash
February 1, 2017 at 22:16 #1285237Riccis blog today didnt fill me with hope, a minor setback and he said “touch wood he will make it there fine” sketchy.
February 2, 2017 at 03:42 #1285267he each way part of MYOY is a solid bet
Rumour has it MTOY is bound for the county hurdle. JP is stacked to the brim in this race as it stands.
Blimey! Didn’t see that coming.
I obviously hope this doesn’t come into fruition.
February 2, 2017 at 06:58 #1285268Who of JP’s runners will Barry Geraghty be on?
February 2, 2017 at 08:38 #1285275Poor vibes with Yanworth, I am concerned. I will be gutted if he doesn’t make the champion hurdle as have backed him to the boards.
Kempton was a good run on a stiff enough track and he showed massive improvement.
Not surprised BD has been switched back to hurdles following yanworth set back!
I’m hoping the minor set back reports are true and both yanworth and BD still both make the champion hurdle. JetSki has a pop at the stayers for some place money
February 2, 2017 at 12:03 #1285291I reckon the injury news is rubbish and they simply got it wrong. Alan King wanted to go up in trip and was shot down. Hendo will have said BD is quicker than Yanworth and has more chance of winning a CH. Rather than put their hands up and say ‘we got it wrong’, they enter BD in the CH, let the dust settle for a week or two and then announce Yanworth is going up in trip as was originally intended.
February 2, 2017 at 12:07 #1285292Bd – jezki ch?
Ukwimh-yan stayers?February 2, 2017 at 12:43 #1285295Overreaction in the markets to Yanworth. It does not sound serious at all, Alan King thinks he’ll run at Wincanton in a couple of weeks and no matter how well the other horse runs at Sandown, Gerraghty will be on Yanworth. Also, with 2 big ol’ arrows to fire at the Champion Hurdle from JP this might well see Jezki turn up on the Thursday now.
February 2, 2017 at 20:23 #1285381Any setbacks are not good at this stage.
These horses need to be trained to the minute. When was the last time Faugheen had a race…? Champion Hurdle is only six weeks away.Blackbeard to conquer the World
February 2, 2017 at 20:30 #1285382The worry would be that a ‘tweaked muscle’ might well have been a weak point and it could easily tweak again. Any hold up in work will have an effect and time is running out. Horses will drop away on the run-up through injury; they always do. You just need to hope for the best and pray they’re not showstoppers in your antepost list.

I’m sure we all have bets like this one, I’m hoping Yanworth at least gives me a run for my money

February 4, 2017 at 10:13 #1285659The only horse that can beat my 500/1 Champion hurdle winner Petit Mouchoir runs today and I dont wish the horse harm but it would be great to see ‘Buvair d’air’ run like a pig.
