Not original but on BallyAndy at 13/2, hope they make the running on him and make it a true test

Think he’ll need to front run to have any chance, Andrew. Ballyandy only on a reasonable mark on hurdles form, but has obvious potential given bumpers form. However, looked slow at 2m this season and will need a strong pace/test of stamina at the trip if he’s to win. I’ll look to bet in running on him – if atall.

Clyne the most likely to be up there somewhere near the front, could have a tactical advantage. Progress seemed to continue against The New One last time. If the small field form can be relied on Clyne has a major chance. Another minor worry is Even Williams isn’t in as good nick as he was then. Therefore, just a saver for me.

Movewiththetimes is a similar type to Ballyandy in a first season hurdler, but seems to have more speed. Didn’t get the best of rides/runs when the two met earlier in the season. Got the usual JP pre-Betfair prep run. Suspicion is he’s considerably better than shown to date. Won much easier than winning distance indicates last time. Should play major role if kept handy. Main bet.

My other main bet is Wait For Me. Possibly unlucky not to win race won by William Bonny at Cheltenham last time – late mistakes. Gave impression his progression is not at an end. Hope he’s not given too much to do, Richard Johnson is usually aware in tactical races. At double figure prices imo worth taking a chance on jumping.

Irish horse Veinard also looked unlucky last time with a mistake at the last. But he’s come there looking dangerous before without winning. Saver or back to lay material.

My idea of the best outsider is Kayf Blanco very progressive up until seemingly disappointing last time out (not clear run). Now off a 1 lb lower mark than penultimate start, good 4 3/4 lengths 3rd in Sandown handicap. I quite like the winner of that – Brain Power – for the Champion Hurdle. 40+/1 Kayf Blanco far too big imo.

Clyne now a main bet too.

My concern about CDT would be that he’s yet to win a race and whilst he’s been ridden ” patiently ” this season, it could also be attitude related.

I’ve pencilled in Ballyandy but will take a closer look later this week

    BOOM !

Congrats to the other Ballyandys on here !

I always say whatever JP runs in this back it….Not this year though,I reckon Ballyandy is tailor-made for it,closer inspection sees him getting in with a mere 10-6,thats a flyweight. His form is top class for a Novice and it will need to be to win a Betfair hurdle but this fellow has a touch of the MTOY’s about him and I think he’s a massive player at 9’s on the machine.

TAPK opened the Office door poured a glass of Bolly and nearly spilled it when the JP horse came a looming but I wasn’t born a legend…..Well I sometimes wonder. B-)

Personally I cannot understand why Ballyandy is favourite. He’s priced up on his bumper win last year. He was beaten by a couple of 2m 5f+ horses LTO and hasn’t been impressive over hurdles.

He’s priced up on the fact that he’s ran close to ‘Moon Racer’ twice and just touched off by this years ‘Neptune’ winner Zark,it will be a war of attrition this and you will need a horse who stays 21/2m,he’s thrown in on ratings,he’ll be a 150 hurdler in time easily, everything is in his favour to canter round a course that will suit and of course if I say he’s going to win, inevitably it wins…Dead simple really.

TAPK on his second glass of Bolly even finds his own posts funny…..Cheers Zark :rose: :rose: :rose:

    I’ve lost the plot.

Why am I backing Zubayar, complete loser horse?

In the past I would have just backed ballyandy.

My punting is getting worse if anything.

time to leave these forums, they seem to put the hex on me.

    Tara everyone :bye:

Myself and MrsG were treated to a weekend away at a really nice hotel in
Callander (Roman Camp Hotel). Just arrived having not seen any of today’s
racing, and watched Ballyandy power his way home. I’ll need to take a leaf
out of TAPK’s book and open the Bolly now. Well done to all on him, and cheers
TAPK for coaxing me into not hanging about and taking the odds (11/2) :good:

C’mon Judge mate, we all have bad spells. I’ve picked enough duffers in my time, but it’s
good hearing your views on the forum. Tomorrow’s another day :good:

With Derby getting stuffed and letting me down in a double, treble and fourfold and BDM getting stuffed (doubled with Altior) and Traffic Fluide backed heavily in the without Altior market I was staring down the barrel.

Following TAPK at the moment and boy is he delivering. Take a bow pal :good:

Was surprised how Ballyandy was ridden, played for speed, and boy he delivered, travelling better than he has in any of his previous races.

Didn’t win enough for Bolly but Sainsburies finest wine will do

Well normally TAPK the legend that is would be blowing his own trumpet about yet another Ante-Post coup landed but since I started contributing again I have toned down my modesty accordingly.Apart from that this race really was a piece a piss to evaluate and those that listened to the King of foresight should have been rewarded handsomely at 8/1…It really wasn’t rocket science that Ballyandy was going to go off any bigger than 3/1 so it was just a case of yet another day in the Office of studying horses and being rewarded for such..’Ballyandy’ wont win the ‘Supreme’ on good ground so dont go reinvesting those winnings guys..The 2nd horse on good ground is a serious horse too and ‘Clyne’ ran right up to his mark…Those 8lbs eh?…Well done lads, enjoy.
For those not familiar with the King of foresights work just wait till Cheltenham…Yeh baby! B-)

Well done Ballyandy backers! I haven’t backed it, need to do homework, we all learn all the time;just been into races about 3 years, so plenty to learn. No doubt the best horse in the race won really well. I am looking forward to see Moon Racer against Melon, hopefully Charli Parcs and others in Supreme, which looks to be very interesting race…
