So Coronation Cup..Red Cadeaux 16/1 Bet Victor

It has been a great compy and highlights how difficult it is to make a profit backing ante post, admire those who can do it.

I think the rules are if you’ve used just 1 of your 2 points then you can simply use your other.
However if you’ve used both then a new bet would be using points from elsewhere and both count.
June 3, 2014 at 19:13 #481052The Red Cadeaux selection was by Triptych the post above mine I was just talking to myself about that one as I didn’t think he was running.

Bad luck again Jac with the non runner. As this is just a bit of fun I’m sure nobody will mind if you use your last point again, I don’t think it will affect things too much at the top of the leaderboard.
June 3, 2014 at 23:48 #481073I’ve certainly no objections with Trip reusing the points again. Thanks Ginger for organizing this Ante Post competition.
Don’t normally do Ante Post bets myself with the exception of Grand National, and sometimes the Championship races at Cheltenham, but this as shown me, that with careful planning Ante Post bets can pay.
Of cos if I was to put money on my bets I’d wouldn’t be limited to just 2 points/pounds nor with the races Ginger suggested, nor the quantity of races, for each bet.

Thanks Pat, Nathan and RR for highlighting Red Cadeaux as non runner. Good reason why I don’t bet AP myself
I would like my remaining 1 point then to go onto
Talent 15/2
Stan James 1 point win
She did me a massive favour in last years Oaks perhaps
she’ll help a little this time. It’s been a great compy and Pat’s summaries have been really helpful.
Good luck and thanks

GOLDIE
and then on the final day
NATHAN HUGHES
jumps up to 2nd place thanks to Australia’s win in the Derby at 25-1. Well done

June 7, 2014 at 22:30 #481601Thanks Pat for all your time and for giving us all mention for our big price wins throughout the compy. Without your updates I’m sure many of us would have been lost in space and glad the spreadsheet helped hold it all together.
Nathan what a great price for Australia ..just shows how AP can pay off but do the losses take away from the big wins, still not convinced. Hope you were on at 25’s,
Thanks to Ginger for all his work putting this marathon compy together Think I’ve just got my head around the rules Ginge now it’s too late
and finally….
Well done to Goldie what a great show of Ante Post know how and a well deserved win.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...June 7, 2014 at 23:26 #481603Just the £2.00 each way Trip. But it will pay the train fair to Royal Ascot and back. Let me know if you have any requests for photo’s. I don’t need to tell you which day I’m going do I?
Well done Goldie a great bit of foresight getting 40’s for LW. I’ll post up the result in the hall of fame shortly.
Thanks to ginge for putting together the comp and Pat123 for his work in scoring and Jac for her spread sheets whatever they are?
She must work on a computer one thinks.Blackbeard to conquer the World
June 8, 2014 at 10:27 #481641Thanks Ginger for organizing this competition and for Pat for keeping score. Final placing for me was third. Well done Nathan for that late sprint to grab second with Australia and for Goldie who won thanks to finding the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner. Hope everyone had fun with this competition.
