The wet weather put’s me off Snow Fairy, I think she needs decent ground.

    Joshua Tree looks interesting.

I wouldn’t run Rewilding if he was mine. I’d go for the Arc.

I was at York for the Voltigeur and if Rewilding doesn’t run for any reason (I believe he will win comfortably) I would have Joshua Tree over Midas Touch. He looked really burly in the parade ring and I was amazed he ran so well.

Yeah totally agree, I can’t understand why they’re not looking at the Arc either. Although I have large ante-post bets on Midas Touch for the Leger, I have much larger ante-post bets on Behkabad for the Arc and quite frankly, I don’t really see what I have to be worried about at Longchamp.

    But if Rewilding turned up…hmmm.

    Midas Touch

for me (now we can rule out Snow Fairy).
Softer ground, extra 2f, more suited to the longer trip, can fend off Rewilding imo.

Workforce has no chance in the Arc, TAPK.

Will do really well just to recover some kind of form, never mind threaten in the toughest back-end 12f race there is

will be routing for Midas Touch, followed him so far, and will back him in st leger. softer the better i say, AOB has a brilliant record with stayers.

think good ground would suit him just as well del boy; Midas doesn’t lack speed, as his G2 10f romp demonstrated.

Rewilding will be hurting after 12f either way..Midas was only prepping in the GV, godolphin had theirs running out of its skin, and he’s better fresh :!:

Corsica will be used as a pacemaker for Rewilding, so stamina clearly isn’t an issue.

The Arc will be on the agenda if – or indeed when – he wins.

There’s always a chance he’ll get beat and the odds are very skinny.

My idea was not to try and make a fortune from this race but to back him for the Arc at as big a price as possible then back him in the Leger to cover the stake

If he does win and is as impressive as he was last time it won’t much matter to me if he wins or not as he’ll no doubt drop into single fugures.

When you watch the Derby it was a funny old race. When you see what Cape Blanco did to Rip Van Winkle and how impressivley Rewilding won at York you have to wonder if it was just one of those weird days when you get a meaningless fluke result.

I’ve got a feeling Rewilding might just be a superstar in waiting and his current odds for the Arc are bordering on sheer madness.

Fist…From the moment they passed the post in The Derby I thought " meaningless fluke result" and I’ve expreessed my doubts that Workforce was a great Derby winner in the past, IMO he hasn’t a snowballs chance in hell of being involved in the finish of this years Arc…or any future Arc either.

On the subject of Rewilding, he

    might

win The Leger, although I rather doubt that he’ll confirm the form with Joshua Tree, but right now I can’t see a single creditable Arc contender in this year’s Leger field

Wow, this light-framed, like-a-girl physique horse with 12f acceleration who had everything to suit at York against a couple of not-trying-too-hards is now not only winning the Leger doing handstands – depiste the very different test of that race – he’s off to win the Arc after as well, because that just happens!! :D

Don’t see the need for the sarcasm to be honest – racing needs you to think on your feet, and i’ve heard stranger arguements than Reqilding for The Arc – Kauto Star for the Gold Cup after his crashing fall in the QMCC for one!

If he wins cosily in the Leger, which he might, i’d think he was well worth a run in an open looking Arc. I’m concerned about the Elite horse myself so won’t be backing him, although he looks the most likely winner.

Wouldn’t say sarcasm PC, more genuine surprise! Is all.

It’s true you never know, and the edge is finding what others don’t yet know, or can’t perceive, but to win a tough Leger and turn up and knockout the best French 3yo’s around…would want the 50s, and maybe Fist has them, and more

Godolphins record in the St Leger makes Rewildings chances of victory all the more plausible and he does look a worthy fav,2/1 would be nearer the mark mind! Anyone who thinks he can reverse form with

    Workforce

in this years Arc are kidding themselves! You are either a Leger horse,(failed Derby runner) or you are an Arc horse(Derby winner)!
