I may be travelling on Saturday when the 2000 Gns is being run. Does anyone know if the BBC will be sparing a couple of minutes of their valuable airtime on R5 to cover the race?
It would save me rushing around after the race or trying to avoid the result until I can watch a recording.

May 1, 2013 at 22:58 #438175I think they will be covering the racing they seem to do the big races and they had the guineas over the last 5years or so.
May 2, 2013 at 00:09 #438185If you have Internet access on your phone or iPod you could tune into William Hill Radio, no need to log in just click on the Radio option on the site and you will get live commentary on all racing on Guineas day.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 2, 2013 at 07:52 #438204the race is at 15:50 so at half-time in the football – Five Live will be covering the race
May 2, 2013 at 14:45 #438256Thanks for all the replies – looks like I’ll be OK to listen to the race on the car radio.
Just a thought on the same lines – I miss the regular reading of the racing results on the radio. If you were ever on a long journey it was something else to keep you up to date with the racing. I always seemed to be hanging on to hope with an each way bet that my horse would be the next one to be read out if not 1st or 2nd. There was then always the last resort – non-runners!!
Happy days?!

As you say Happy Days but days long gone.
Also on a similar vein when Grandstand used to have the classified racing results – with the old hand written graphics.
