Sassanian is currently favourite(2/1) but last time it was beaten by Gulf Punch with Sefton Park(16/1) not far behind. Also appears to suffer from seconditus including flat form(four on the trot).
On the other hand Two Kisses was only beaten 2 lengths by Beyond from the Williams yard which had already won three flat races on the trot. However, Two Kisses had Gulf Punch over thirty lengths in arrears.
To my mind Two Kisses will blow Sassanian away so I recommend laying the latter and betting the former to win by over six lengths.
Ignore the McCain newcomers. Stable will have a hangover after yesterday’s big Galway win. Charmeur ran on soft going in France and I think it’s just the Hobbs and Johnson connection that’s making the price skinny. Forsyth, although from a yard in form seems a bit one-paced and will struggle to see out the race, I think.
KJuly 30, 2010 at 15:00 #309985I really hope someone, somewhere, took heed. Two Kisses wins at 3/1 beating Sassanian at 7/2 into second by 18 lengths. The Hobbs horse, though 2/1 favourite, comes last and Forsyth weakens three out.
Sadly, I was on an errand and failed to have a bet but at least it was good for the old confidence by proving to me that when I take the time to properly read the form etc. then I stand a better chance than just making last-minute decisions.
