This looks all about Vautour, but at 100’s, I have to give Baily Green another chance, albeit each way. That 100’s look solid value to me. Finished second in this last year, he went very close, and he’s coming back off a solid run at The Festival, where he looked a big danger in The Plate, before just failing to see out the trip. He’s been something of a “nearly” horse over the last few years. He should have won The 2013 Arkle, when he had the beating of Simonsig, but the jockey didn’t seem to believe it, and could have won the 2014 Champion Chase, when he was absolutely running all over them, but tipped up at the big ditch at the top of the hill.
There’s plenty of poor runs in there as well, but at this price he’s worth the risk, and just need an off day from a couple of them, and I can easily see him outrunning those odds.
100’s with various firms.

I was looking at it last week, they were 200/1 before knocking in four past Arsenal, I’ve taken the 80’s now.

Topham Chase
I’ve taken a chance on Definite Ruby, who is widely available at 100’s.
She is probably too low in the weights to scrape into the race just now, but she’s entered in a decent Handicap Chase at Downpatrick on Sunday. I fancy her chances in that race, and a decent performance will hopefully see her raised accordingly for a The Topham.
Obviously risky, but worth a go I thought.

I’ve not stuck one in this thread before, and this may be a forlorn hope, but
I kept having a a second, and third etc etc look at it, to the extent that I
can’t not have couple of quid on it. I’ve watched the race at Kempton and she
looked like she buckled down at got up on the post over 6f, maybe suggesting the
extra furlong wouldn’t do any harm. The runner up went down to a fairly decent one
of Mark Johnston next time out and the 3rd ran out a good winner next time out,
going off as favourite, so maybe the form is not too bad. Probably they will be too
strong for her in this, but one can but dream
) And I fancy Chelsea’s chances and Arsenal to go well but fall short as always.
