When I joined this talking house donkeys ago, the average age of voices back then was 48 according to my old notebooks. Posters like cybermum and her less writing hubbie Nev who both liked to take boocket and spade holidays oop north had both their ages totted up with others – Pocket Rocket a young’n springs to mind and not forgetting the young hippo or the lady that always wore a towel – Meshaheer the wannabee journo and Zoz who could build a brick wall. I dunno know where the misspent yoof went but they left here in droves,to the detriment of the massiv. They p*ssed orf heading for the exit and craved anonymity or pastures new and yes recent escapees might call this Shangri La or X or Y or Zee or LSD – People like Rory (39 back then) a knowledgeable flyby night who graced us with a couple of years of his racing yoof suddenly legged it into the abyss. It goes without saying a few yoof were rather outspoken, as yoof tend to be, and were cut short by the powers that be.
Now according to my recent stats we’ve crept up to an average age of 56.
So people here are getting older and are of a certain age hmmm. If it ever reaches 80 sorry but I’m orf !
I would rather not call out the wrinklies because I brush my teeth of a morning but what I can say is…
Those who have reached the biblical age can continue watching ITV in a relaxed manner.
Those under 60 – our yoof members if you will, can fidget a bit – or a lot, and possibly change channel !
