good; Lossiemouth very smooth, IET picking up and accelerating away after a really bad stumble (would love to see him over 3 miles), Jonjo picking a competitive handicap, Gaelic warrior strolling away from the field in what had been previously reckoned a good Gold Cup.
Bad; Envoi Allen, once the Next Big Thing, didn’t quite live up to that, but still was a great warrior for so many years.
The starts, too many horses losing their chance right there (though didn’t stop Istabraq).
The Ireland/Britain nonsense; at least we don’t see Irish flags being shoved at jockeys anymore.
