So happy for you Nathan, Gaelic Warrior truly deserved his win today and so glad he has seen of his critics

Must admit I’ve been pretty low tonight Graham reflecting on the loss of poor Envoi Allen, it was one of the most competitive Gold Cups we’ve ever seen and as good as he is he was never really going to win it with his advancing years. Like you I wish he hadn’t run maybe just brought along to parade before his retirement.
Having said that, I’m sure Henry de Bromhead ran him in the spirit of let’s give him a good send off on the course he loves never dreaming it would end like this. He’s a good man and has been through terrible times losing his beloved son in a horrific accident during a race. I feel for the whole yard and his lass who cared for him.
I feel the worst I have since One Man was lost in the Mumm Melling at Aintree after winning the Gold Cup and the wasted life of Gold Cup winner Synchronised in the Grand National. I loved that horse. ![]()
We will never forget dear Envoi Allen, the bravest of the brave who deserved a long and happy retirement that was sadly not to be..😪 I hope they find a lovely way to keep his name alive.
