No dog in the fight here but as I have said in the not likely to ever end CH thread, he should be sticking to the flat and honestly this decision should have been made Saturday following his sparkling Friday performance.
There are now far more opportunities open to him on the flat than jumps and if he can nab a few of them, then for me his cache will rise even more than it would if he won a 2nd Champion Hurdle, which given his jumping frailties, you have to seriously question his ability to actual complete the course let alone win the race.
The fact that connections are seemingly fixated on sending him back over hurdles (which I think in their heart of hearts is their preferred option) which given said jumping issues will be opening the horse up to the totally unnecessary risk of injury or perhaps even the loss of his actual life, doesn’t really reflect well on either of them.
