Right, I’ve had a proper look at Sprinter Sacre’s profile and the replay of a few of his races. So I’ll just come out and say it; Bridle Merchant.

I am a big SS fan (who wouldn’t be after Kempton), but can see a Hardy Eustace / Harchibald type finish with SS hard held all the way round and finding nil after the last.

Despite it being advertised in the RP at the time I posted; I actually tuned in myself to find that the US racing broadcast did not start until 11pm…..after the Oaks had finished  .

    Soz about the wrong info.

Mind you, Racing UK’s Derby coverage was ace.

They couldn’t have been as bad as last night’s Racing UK Cheltenham preview. I learnt nothing new from the ‘experts’ Dave Nevison & Mark Howard. Luckily Lydia was there; otherwise I would have turned off  .

Well that run was too bad to be true. Pulled up and beaten by some of the worst novice hurdlers in the UK…!!?!?!

You’ll know him around 3.30pm on March 11th, as he’ll just have trained the Champion Hurdle winner (at a glorious ante-post price of 50/1  ).

What you have to remember with Catt is that he’s primarily a presenter. His skills don’t really lie with race reading, so I would guess it’s only a sideline for him.

Then why is he commentating at Cheltenham ?! The UK’s premier course and they’re using a poor part-timer. Seems like a lovely bloke  but he’s no racecourse commentator.

Run BJK in a couple of ordinary novice chases over 2m 4f and then win the Ryanair. Sorted.

Thought he showed a nice turn of foot to win nicely. Visually impressive. What he beat; god only knows. Although the second (Famous Name) must’ve been highly rated as he ran in the National Stakes behind New Approach after his maiden win.

Discreet Cat tonight. Anyone who watched his last race would agree that he looked a spent force. I would be very (but pleasantly) surprised if he won tonight.

Anyone else worried about the ground at Monmouth ? Surely Dylan Thomas won’t enjoy the rain softened turf ?!?

Just out of interest, can you bet your Scoop 6 on Friday (now we have 48 hour decs) ? Not sure I can make it to the Bookies on Saturday so doing it Friday would be handy.

Docklands Express. Gave everything and was only beaten in the Gold Cup by Cool Ground and The Fellow. One of the greatest ever races.

The whole Zambezi Sun ‘not wound up’ talk is nuts. Soldier of Fortune was hardly being whipped to buggery during the race, was he ? SOF won the race EASILY and in a record time. SOF has been given the typical Arc ‘French’ prepartion. Irish Derby followed by Prix Neil. Zambezi Sun will not get near him.

I guess Youmzain is the value. I always feel he may win a big one one day. He was very decent last season.

I am lumpin’ on the Soldier big time though.
