This was terribly sad, I did not realise he had died.What happened ? I saw him collapse just before the post . ATR did not mention anything as to his welfare at the time. So sorry to the connections

Sunbolt lost his life yesterday. I saw this race on ATR Uttoxeter 4.25 and I believe if the whip had not been used in excess, this poor horse would still be alive.In reality Sunbolt ran under the whip until he broke down .

This is terribly sad to see them both die in one race. My heart really goes out to all connections.

We have had this debate before. I’m sorry but if you really think that jockey’s shouldn’t carry whips then you’ve obviously never sat on a horse in your life. Go and ask jockeys if they’d like to ride without them.

Why not go the whole hog and do away with jockeys.

Yes I have sat on a horse, actually the best part of 30 years and only ever used mine for corrective purposes.

I am so saddened to see what happened to this poor horse, surely Tom should have had the sense to pull up ..it was sickening to watch…my sincere thoughts are with Kim Bailey and the connections

I also saw this horrific breakdown of such a talented horse. Such a tragic end to so much promise…I just hope the suffering came to an end quickly..Rest well dear friend
